Great location, close to the lake, magnificent mile, restaurants, etc. We walked everywhere! The bathroom looked renovated.

Freehand Chicago was a quaint little hostel. The private queen room was small but nice enough for my short stay. The lobby was nice and the bar seemed popular. The location is close to many restaurants and the staff were happy to recommend locations.

This was a more affordable option with historic charm. Food and the drink I had from the bar were good. Fun crowd with a variety of visitors.
Bar was extremely loud. We had to move to another area because the three people at the bar were so loud and the room probably needs some acoustic help to soften the echo.
