The place has become run down since we last stayed in 2019

The staff tried to accomdate our requests as best they could and always answered when we approached them in a respectful manner. The free internet access didn't fail even during a bad storm our first night there and the two power decks in the room were well placed. They had three types of juice always in stock at the breakfast buffet. There was ample parking.

The dehumidifier in the room wasn't working as well, possibly because outside the downspouts for the eaves were dumping water right next the hotel's foundation, we could see it right outside our window on the first floor; the staff didn't seem to understand why this might be a safety or health concern for us. I am allergic to mold and mildew and I could feel it in that room so we tried to find ways to stay out as much as possible, difficult to do in a tiny town. The towels were thinner and rougher than any at the other six hotels we stayed during this summer 2023 trip. The breakfast had a good variety but the biscuits for the gravy were more like hardtact in terms of their texture, the plastic knives broken trying to cut them so I stopped trying to have those after the first morning.

We found this Inn comfortable and very friendly.

The Inn has wonderful accommodations and we enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast and coffee. We would highly recommend the Inn.

A delightful gem!

Clean, comfortable room in a modern, well-kept building. Polite and helpful staff. Very nice and well-maintained grounds. Great location next to a gas station and a small grocery store. Charming town with friendly residents.

Shower water pressure could be stronger.

Nice place little outdated but clean and very friendly front desk. Breakfast was sausage with biscuits, waffles, cereal, quick oatmeal Very nice shower

I will definitely be back and stay!! Best hotel I’ve stayed in even though there isn’t a pool/jacuzzi

Very Clean!!! Front desk clerk was very nice and answered all questions. By far the best sleep I’ve had in years. Definitely will be back

This Hotel was exceptionally nice, the staff was great !! Very friendly!! If you don't know already you have great staff !! I would definitely stay here again!! Keep up the great work!!

Not that I didn't like it, but it would be helpful if it had a elevator. Either way they accommodated our other family that could not do stairs with no problems !! Awesome job !!

Exceptional

The staff was friendly and able to accommodate our early check in request.

My husband and I had some difficulty sleeping due to the bed being not what we are used to. I can't say the bed would be uncomfortable for everyone but it was for us. My son slept just fine!

it was a comfortable place to stay !

breakfast was ok -- I loved the pressure of the water in shower, but please think about safety bars for all showers. My brother has a weak side because of a past stroke, and felt very uncomfortable taking a shower, which he did only once. beds were comfortable and we slept well.

no safety bars in shower. the screen in our window was loose on one side and could have easily been pushed in, or out.

The best small hotel experience I have ever had, I will always stay at the Cobblestone when I am in Iowa.

I cannot say enough good things about the Inn & Raje & her family, who run this exceptional property. The Inn is incredibly clean, the complimentary breakfast delicious, several amenities for a comfortable stay & genuinely kind people.

Rented the room as a honeymoon suite for my son. The water was brown for the whirlpool king suite! Too much to even use it! I should be refunded the difference between it and a regular room!

Made a local funeral a little more bearable and much better than a 30 minute drive to Cedar Rapids.

This is the only place in town and could be a bummer. But it is nice and compfy. We were able to enjoy our carryout from the local Asian restaurant in the motel dining room and then play a board game.

The little store was out of antacids, but there's an all night Kwik Star next door and surprisingly busy at 2:30 AM. Also the motel could stand a little upkeep at minimal cost.

The breakfast was the usual items provided. No hot items such as eggs or bacon/sausage. They did have plenty of milk in gallon containers for cereal or to make a protein shake.

The style/brand of chair used at Cobblestone Hotels are the same which is unfortunate. Even when they are at the highest position they are still too low to work properly on a computer at the desk. I am 5'10" and have had to resort to sitting on pillows from the bed to raise my torso.
