My husband and I didn’t know what to expect. We booked the room based on the reviews. The room and bed were so cozy. The cleanliness of the room far exceeded our expectations.

Good location, it was quiet, the sitting area outside our room was very nice.
7.0
close to everything
3 locks on the door and only one worked which was very flimsy. we pushed chairs and suitcases against the door. coffee pot was dirty.
8.0
It was cozy and comfortable.
Nothing everything was great

Easily drive to the strip, grocery store and winery. It was decent for the price
Rooms are very small. The kitchenette could use a few more items such as paper towels and a pot. Ice wasn’t available for our stay.

No breakfast but that’s ok, there a great German bakery in town. Stayed there at least five times already. Heck in-out is very easy, takes about 10 seconds if you are slow. Very fair price
Small restroom no big deal

The proximity to Fredericksburg Main Street was nice
The place was falling down, literally. Signs of foundation failure. Shower was super small and valves didn’t control hot and cold water well.

The location was great to where we were at and going.
The noise of the outside was a bit much but over all was great

Great price and very comfortable bed
A/C unit could use some updating. Very cold a/c but you when it turned on it would wake one of the children up. Very lite sleeper, did not bother me.

My husband and I travel a lot and we’re not usually fussy, we were both very disappointed. I think the pictures they used were oldies, because the room was very worn. The motel is so close to the main road that you can hear every vehicle outside. Inside is the same.
Everything.

Had problem with water so we were moved to a bigger room. Furniture is old but clean and bed was comfortable. Outside sitting area was cute. Value priced hotel that allows dogs
In process of remodeling rooms which will help

Quaint and clean. Bed was comfortable. Very good value, as we just planned to sleep there.
On the edge of town, so you need to drive and park to get to “downtown”. But parking is free, so not too much of a hassle- plus I didn’t have to carry the bags all the way back to the motel)

I loved the location, it was close to everything we needed to get to for our weekend trip. I also loved the cost of the room and the majority of the amenities offered. For the kitchenette, very little equipment is provided so I would suggest bringing your own if planning to cook in the room, we made do with what we had.
There was no ice machine, the staff was not really available when needed (These were at reasonable hours) the stove did not work properly which made the purpose of renting the room a downfall. Do not stay in room 10 if you are planning to use the stove.

very cozy, very clean and very comfortable.
parking was difficult for a large pickup.

1. Very central location. Meer minutes' drive away from the Marktplatz and dining locations in Fredericksburg.
2. Very helpful and painless check-in/check-out process, especially because we were late check-in guests. Even when no one was physically there, someone answered our questions quickly with the Ring.
3. So much parking! We were able to park tucked in a corner right next to our room away from potential watchful eyes. Otherwise, if there were more people, you would've been able to park in front of your room too.
4. Decent amenities and room temperature, especially when it was cold outside. Chairs/table/sofa were a plus. Bathroom was decently clean.
5. Bed was comfortable. My boyfriend is a light sleeper and had no problem with it.
Things that could've been better:
1. The kitchen area was a bit dusty and worse for wear.
2. Bathtub area could have been a bit cleaner.

We loved the extra little touches like quality soaps, retro decor, and comfortable bed blending this historic motel with charm and modern conveniences for a good value stay in the town. We even extended our stay for a third night to enjoy the area more. It was clean and maintains the older building with care for comfort.
The Ac/heater worked fine but a bit loud. It was no problem using our ear plugs which also helped with any loud guests or road traffic. Kitchen could have used a few more utensils and working can opener.

Easy to find hotel location. Smooth check-in with friendly and accommodating staff. Room was clean and met basic expectations. Close enough to the town center and all activities, shops and restaurants. Loved the vinyl record collection (LPs for sale) in the lobby
Only two things come to mind, plus one thing which is out of the hotel's hands:
1) the room could have had a brighter lighting system. Very dim over the fridge/microwave area
2) the room could be more tech-savvy with more, conveniently located electrical outlets and USB charging locations (on bedside lamps for example)
3) the traffic noise from the main highway made sitting outside unpleasant. A little bit of the town becoming too popular and successful for its own good as well as the road being the man highway from Austin to interstate I-10. The large trucks rumbling through town make for a loud and cumbersome sight. Maybe time for the authorities to exercise some eminent domain and get a bypass road built? I half jest with this statement as visiting the town's shopping area would be vastly improved with said bypass :)

The TV didn’t work. It’s a very old outdated hotel that’s over priced for what it has to offer.

Check in & Check Out was super easy. But they ran my credit card and then just put the key in the mailbox that anyone could have access to. They also didn't communicate with each other, after having been there for about 6 hours, I received a phone call from front desk, asking when I would be checking in. I let them know I had already been there awhile and was currently in my room.
I did not realize the it is a motel NOT a hotel. There was stains on my comforter, and on my sheets, it almost looked like they hadn't been washed. The shower was extremely small. The two other women that were staying with me are very petite and they kept knocking their elbows on the walls. I am about 5'9" and the shower was way too small for me. The door to the bathroom didn't shut all the way. When I checked in there was someone in my room still cleaning the floors. There was one lock for the door that could also be accessed from the outside. We put our luggage by the front door to help us feel a little more secure
Its not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but for 3 women staying by themselves... we didn't feel 100% safe and comfortable.

The hotel is definitely like a 1950's motor court. It is outdated, but it was super, super clean and smelled fresh when we walked in the door. The beds were comfortable and there was also a sofa bed in the living area which our teenager used.
The AC in the living area was awesome but the one in the bedroom did not blow cold. The bathroom was very small and the water handles were loose and didn't turn well.

Worse than an old Motel 6
Wow.... can't even cover this.
7.0
convenient , bed comfortable, AC worked , coffee pot and coffee, good shower , good bathroom amenities , felt safe here and everything clean except floors
the floors were dirty and room slightly overpriced. unhappy with locks on door entry. bathroom door had a swing lock to close.

The location, the atmosphere of the room. It took us back in time. Lovely!
The water pressure was slow.
Maybe add matches to light the stove.
