Such a great location. Coffee on the porch with the river going by and the Osprey chatting in the trees was the best.
Also, the bed was extremely comfortable.
The front of the property is a shared parking lot and not much to look at, but don’t let that fool you.

The room was excellent with everything you needed to cook and catch up with some laundry. After a few days of staying in motels this was a welcome change.
The train noise all through the night. This led to a disturbed nights sleep which was easily rectified on the second night with some ear plugs. Just wished we had been warned by the host about this beforehand as on reading some of the previous reviews since this is clearly a problem for a lot of guests. Why not warn people and maybe provide some ear plugs.

Wonderful accommodation on the river. Beautiful old house with thoughtful renovation. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. This felt like a more unique local experience, rather than booking a hotel. We loved sitting on the porch chairs watching the river. Perfect for a couple. Loved our stay.

Set in a fabulous location overlooking the river, Goldsmith's is a great spot. Our room was a suite in this converted house, and while quirky, it exceeded our expectations. With a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, a large bathroom, a generous sitting room and a separate bedroom with a comfy bed and decent pillows. After settling in, we sat on the porch with a glass of wine, watching people of all ages float down the river on rubber rings, airbeds, and canoes, which was just lovely. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Nothing worthy of noting.
