Basic, slightly dated room, but comfortable and nicely designed. Very clean throughout.
Excellent mattresses: firm with a thick foam top. Plenty of pillows, plus an extra pillow and blanket provided. Linens and towels were pristine, with plenty of towels supplied.
Separate sink area from the toilet and bath, which would be convenient when sharing the room.
Decent shower pressure and quick temperature adjustment, although the pressure was slightly soft.
Hard flooring and external room access were very practical when travelling with a dog. A deck chair was also provided, and some rooms face the river for nice sunsets.
Nice Dove mint-cucumber toiletries. Convenient coffee station in the room.
Good breakfast selection, served from 6–11am. Options included yoghurt, various breads, cereals, oatmeal, bananas, drip coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The rotary toaster is always a big perk for me.
Cleaning and dining room staff were friendly and appeared attentive.
Hotel was generally quiet during the stay. Hallway noise was minimal, and no other dogs were seen or heard.
Tip: head to nearby La Pocatiere to the Kamouraska Tourism park, theres a sweet gazebo and seating area. Lovely for sunrise or sunset!
Limited storage, with no dresser. A luggage rack and a few desk drawers were provided.
Room furnishings had some minor issues: the desk chair was broken, and there was only one bedside table and lamp for two beds.
Laminate-style flooring was heavily scratched and creaked or crunched loudly underfoot, which could be disruptive at night, particularly with dogs.
Curtains were not blackout, and car park lighting caused considerable light to enter the room. The thicker decorative curtains could not be drawn across the window.
The bed linens were microfibre, which tended to cling to hair.
Some noise travelled between rooms; normal conversation from the neighbouring room was audible.
Shower pressure could have been stronger, and the bath tap continued to drip.
The in-room coffee station included only two coffee capsules, with no tea or milk/cream provided. There was also no convenient way to take milk from the breakfast room back to the room.
Front desk staff often seemed preoccupied and brief, the lady at checkout was quite curt and so I forgot to mention the broken chair.
The pet fee was not specified on the booking website, which only indicated that charges might apply. The hotel’s own website clearly stated a fee of $25 per pet, per night, so the charge at checkout was not unexpected. However, the fee should have been disclosed on the booking website, and its purpose was unclear given the room’s pet-friendly features and the usual cleaning requirements regardless of whether pets had stayed.

What a nice place to stay! The town is beautiful and especially with the fall leaves. Would be happy to return and explore more. Hotel easy to find and a good and griendly breakfast
