The staff is available and the hostel is clean.
The room has any lock in the personal box. Air conditioning can be useful. The price is a bit high for a hotstel.

This was truly one of the greatest hostels we've ever stayed at! Awesome, cool, clean, historic spot. We had a private room and it was awesome facing out toward the main street and the beach in the distance. They had free parking just a few blocks away, but everything was walkable from the hostel in town. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers, free chocolate chip pancakes in the morning, and just a really cool vibe. We loved this place, truly one of the greatest hostels. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend or stay again.
Nothing, it was a great. It's a hostel, so its busy, there's alot of people and no AC, but it's hawaii! Just enjoy it. Its super clean and nice.

Staff and location.
Bed bug on the mattress when removing sheets. Bedding could be upgraded as pillows was too low and mushy, one is definitely not working. When asked for blankets, was provided with small size, it didn’t cover 5.5 feet human well.
