Mountain Meadows Inn & Chalet Suites

The place has beautiful trees and places to sit around the room. The room is clean and the owners sent us a lot of helpful information and advice about the hikes in Rainier Park, restaurants and getting along in the area. It has breakfast, that was also very helpful. The room has 2 comfortable queen beds, warm and includes kitchen appliances. It is very close to the park entrance.

The room we got was on the second floor, fits more younger people.

We enjoyed the beautiful setting amongst the trees and fantastic location to the Mt Rainier National park entrance. It was also close by a few restaurants and shops. Our communication with the owners was A+. The hot tub in the back garden was a plus too. Parking was conveniently located just outside our door. We even saw two deer in the morning. The Luckily our communication with the owners was top. We ended up cutting our stay by 1 night due to lack of space for our party of 4 and I was very happy that we were offered a refund option for the 2nd night. Working with the owner via Booking.com for our refund turned out to be easier than expected. Thank you! :-)

I would kindly like to make a few recommendations. Map: It would be very helpful to have a little map of the buildings on the arrival board. We arrived when it was a bit dark and I found it a bit hard to locate our Suite. I didn't have my glasses and reading the text explaining where to find our suite was a bit tricky. ;-) Size: Our suite was advertised as 2 bedroom and looked much larger than it was compared to the images online. The space would be great for a couple and 1 child or two adults, but definitely not 3 adults and 1 teen. The bedrooms were exceptionally small with only double beds (not Queen) in them. Maintenance: The bathroom door didn't shut tightly. Fire hazard: There were many wires/cords cluttered on the floor under the dining table including the decorative lights hanging around the inside doors. It was difficult to find where to unplug things and touching the wires made the lights glitch. :-O Breakfast: The breakfast is not available in a sort of B&B dining room served fresh, but instead items are put in our suite's refrigerator and freezer for self service. While this could be seen as a convenient option for some, I felt it took away some of the charm I expected from such a beautiful B&B property.

The location is perfect close to the park entrance, the room was fantastic loved the decor. The surroundings were amazing would definitely book again.

Comfortable apartment with a kitchen and breakfast items left in the fridge. We also visited a local market to round out our supplies. A comfortable queen and full bed, and a nice bathroom. The host was very friendly and left a binder full of sightseeing tips. Parking was right out front and the big backyard had a gazebo. My husband saw (what we think were) elk in the woods nearby. The room had plenty of outlets and a TV, but the wifi never worked well (that's probably true for the entire area), and there was some late night noise from the downstairs neighbors.

This is a nice, comfortable place to stay. It's cute and clean and a decent size. However, I think the description of the property on booking.com is a bit of misleading and that disappointment could be avoided by being more upfront about what the property actually contains. This is not an Inn, a Chalet, or Suites. We were not expecting a cabin, or a high end hotel, but definitely something a little spiffier and that more accurately matched the online photos. Using Chalet, Inn and Suite in the title implies a certain level of comfort. What we had was an upstairs room in a house and I wish that had been better described online. We stayed in a house divided into apartments with thin walls. We were up a steep set of exterior stairs. We did not have what I would call a balcony. We had a landing at the top of the stairs. Yes, there were chairs and a table on the landing, but it's not really a balcony. I would not have splurged for a room with a balcony if I had known all of this. Overall, I was disappointed because the description and photos online set up an expectation that did not meet reality. The photos of the large front porch are for the house next door where we did not stay. That had a veranda that looked quite lovely. I don't know what the rooms in that structure are like. We were not told we could use the veranda, but what I was expecting was a balcony off our room and we didn't get that. As I said, the host was very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed our stay (minus the bad wifi and downstairs noise). It served well for our needs for a place to stay overnight. It was convenient, clean and comfortable. It was just not as described.
