This motel was like a classic old time motor lodge. The room had the largest king-sized bed I have ever seen. The patchwork quilt on the bed was not expected, but I really liked it. The sheets were also not the ugly plain white, but a tasteful patter to blend with the quilt. The walk-in shower was great, an actual coffee pot with China mugs and fresh ground coffee was perfect. We did not use the ear plugs to mute train noise, though we did hear the train passing several times. Sticky door and all things considered this was a great place to get off the road. A plus is that my car was outside my door.

It was readily available last minute while we were on the road.
I didn’t like being walked to our room when it was already late. I’m sure the gentleman meant well but it’s kind of weird to do with two women staying alone.
