Henderson Beach Resort

The resort was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly, and we really enjoyed the beach and the hotel grounds.

Nothing — everything was wonderful.

Clean, exceptional service, high level amenities

The private beach was awesome, clean and the facilities were super clean.

I didn’t like that you had to book beach chairs way ahead of your stay and I wasn’t aware of that.

The location cannot be beat. A property right on the water of this gorgeous part of Florida is the key selling point that truly delivers. Both the beachfront and the pool area is wonderful. This part of Florida is magical with the white crystal sand that looks like sugar. And the water is perfect with ability to enjoy the waves and the clear water.

I’ve noticed some changes from past years that were disappointing. Something as simple as only paper cups in the rooms when other relatively high-end resorts are able to handle glassware was a signal that a little touches may not be a priority at this time. Also, while I love pets, I was taken aback by having a barking dog on my floor, and having dogs in the lobby, even though they were leashed. And getting double charged for one delivery of room service because of a snag with a system that did not offer iced tea on the digitally accessed menu was a disappointment. It’s the kind of thing that an empowered wait staff could have reconciled with little effort. These may be minor for guests seeking a family and pet friendly place. It’s all about expectation and this is not the “special” environment I experienced in the past. It certainly is much larger of an operation and clearly this is a factor.
