We overall loved this place and hope to come back next year!

Staff was wonderful, very kind and welcoming. The location was perfect for us! Our kids loved the pool area. We would definitely come back again

The room was a little smaller than expected for a family of 4. No table area made it difficult for the kids to eat. We would book a bigger cabin next time.

Loved the location and park like setting. These units are not large and fancy but perfect for our needs. Also they rent their own golf carts which you can keep overnight.

The mattresses MUST be changed.

The pool was the only thing that we liked.

Change the mattress please! The walls too thin to hear all the outside noise and even there seems to be holes through the wall because I felt cold wind from outside and many bugs came in at night. The room is tiny and no wiggle room. The refrigerator is right next to the bed, used as a side table, which I never experienced. Noisy and smelly.

Very nice country location away from town.

We liked that it was like having a little cabin in the country away from town and surrounded by woods. We had parking right out from our porch, though that wasn’t the case for every cabin/room. We loved that there was a centrally located in-ground salt water fenced-in pool that was 3-4 feet deep.

The beds were very firm. The room was very small for having two beds, but it was okay. We had to go to the office in the morning to get keurig coffee.

It was a nice, quiet relaxing stay. The kids really enjoyed the golf carts and swimming pool

I had a great time, the property was nice and beds were very comfortable. well maintained and clean. It was nice and cool in the rooms.

I didn’t have very good Wi-Fi service. The network kept going on and out.

Perfect Location

Quiet, Convenient, Cozy little place to spend the night with Exceptional staff, the Convenience of onsite parking and the ability to rent a cart to Cruise the island. Fantastic!

Small gravel one way cart lane with no turn around or small space to park the cart off of the lane.

The room was cute and well kept. The bathroom was clean.

The pillows were hard and the temperature was difficult to control. There were no lights in the pavilion and no fire pit.

Perfect lake vacation cottages!

The staff was exceptional! My elderly aunt and uncle needed to rest and they were able to check in little early. My son left his white sweat shirt in our room. The owner mailed it to us at no charge! Above and beyond!

The price, the location, the staff, the room... It was absolutely wonderful. The price was fair for the season and the cart rental on site was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.

Pleasant stay on a nice property. Quite area of the island was a bonus.

Location was great, property was well kept and room was clean. The owners were very friendly and we were able to rent a golf cart at the resort for a much cheaper price than other places on the island.

The only negative thing was no coffee pot in the room and the office did not open until 8:00 where coffee was available. No Decaf coffee and no cream for the coffee. At the price of the room, I expected more.

Never again.

Don't order your golf cart off of their website. I got the email confirmation that we were charged $50. And got the credit card statement we got charged a week before our stay, no big deal we wanted to prepay as much as we could. When we got there they asked for our card again for the golf cart, and charged us again... so we called and they said they never charged us on their website. So I supposed to email confirmation, and credit card statements were false.... never again will I stay here.

It was clean and the ac worked great.

When we arrived there were no gulf carts and were told there would be some in the morning. We went back in the morning and the guy told us they have to be reserved and were all gone. We did not know this otherwise we would have reserved one. It was a let down for our kids.

Quiet, peaceful, friendly and affordable!

I loved the location of the resort, it was far away from the "party" area of the main area. It was quiet and peaceful, but just a short 5 min golf cart ride to the action. The staff is wonderful and went above and beyond to help us out. The rooms are small but exactly what was needed for this trip. The room was clean and had all we needed to a one night stay! I loved having a mini fridge in the room! I love the private pool!! Highly recommended!

The showers could use some updating!

A little bit of heaven

This was a nice, quiet location, yet had a beautiful swimming pool, shelter house, and grills. This cottage style resort is located near the Miller Ferry and State Park Campground. We rented a golf cart right there and was able to get downtown easily, within a few minutes. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely return to Bird Nest Resort.

Easy going property, management will work with you. Nice friendly staff, it's a simple room but has everything you need. Comfortable bed good price. We Will stay again.
