The accomodation was very comfortable and had everything needed to rest before heading to death valley. The staff were very nice and helpful - they provided some local tips relating to shops, restaurants and operating hours and they provided some suggestions for local hikes and highlights.
The room was very comfortable and well sized. It was also very quiet, allowing for a good sleep.

I left Death Valley and arrived in heaven..Shoshone. The motel was very well equipped.. extremely comfortable. The bar/restaurant opposite was great. But also there was a desert tortoise sanctuary and lots of short nature hikes. The petrol station has a lovely chatty member of staff and sells all sorts of local goods and there is even a museum (though it closes at 3). This village only has a population of 30!.
There is also lots of scenery to see south of here... dont bother with DV.. just got to this oasis and it's surroundings.
It was perfect.

Ultra thin walls, very noisy neighbors. My wife barely slept at all.
