Perfect place for a week away, calm and relaxing with the bustle of Dubrovnik just a short bus trip along the road

Stunning views from our balcony, beautiful large room, beautiful decor. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing, such a choice. Plenty choice of pools to relax at.

We booked sea view rooms, which were amazing, we would have been gutted if our rooms wasn’t facing the sea. Definitely pay the extra for a sea view and ask for a high floor.

Seafront at its best

We stayed in a seafront room and it was better than even the photos showed . It was big and the view was incredible. The setting on the rocky seafront is spectacular and the loungers with umbrellas placed in amgonst the rocks was great. A little tricky getting in and out of the water but the sea is the so blue and clear it is worth the effort . The rooftop swimming pool and bar is a gem ,great place to relax at the end of the day . Overall a great place for a holiday

The whole hotel complex is big and quite disjointed ,the Royal Blue didn't even have direct access to its own main reception. The breakfast buffet is hopelessly disorganized and you find yourself fighting through queues waiting at the coffee machines,even in the main doorway to the outside seating ,for the number of people it serves it is small,the selection is pretty good though. We found the staff on the whole not that friendly , many didn't even acknowledge you as you passed . We found the food and drinks price high even by Dubrovnik standards and disappointing that a couple of bottles of water weren't complimentary in our room .

Picturesque

Hotel was spotless, loads of pools to choose from, exceptional views from the room, bar and restaurants.

Maybe walk in showers would be nice in the room. Weren't a great lover of the breakfast but never spoiled such a great hotel.

Amazing stay at a really high standard hotel :)

The view from our balcony was amazing! The whole Adriatic sea was in front of us. And room service was superb. Also the spa! Not to mention getting sparkling wine at the breakfast buffet :D

Not really sure what was bad. Maybe the location about 10 min drive from Grad, but other than that we didn't have any complaints.

The location was beautiful. The food was delicious. they had a great breakfast buffet every morning. The views from my room were amazing and I enjoyed taking walks after dinner along the water.

Great stay!

The hotel has great facilities, several pools, restaurants, and a spa (you pay for extras). The hotel has access to the beach but you need to be a confident swimmer. The room was very clean and spacious. We were able to check in early which was great. The breakfast was good too, with lots of options and fresh food.

pools weren’t heated, children’s pool especially and it wasn’t clean. mostly negative is the guest relations. we chose the hotel for a very impt 40th birthday milestone and it turned out to be a fail when our booking requests wasn’t done on the day. very poor service to rely to.

Idyllic holiday on the Adriatic

A fabulous hotel in a stunning location with views and access to the Adriatic. The facilities were excellent, including the room, restaurants, pools and location right on the shoreline with plenty of sunbeds and locations to access the sea. The pedestrian walkway into nearby Lapad, with it's beautiful views of the sea and every sunset was really lovely.

Not much to dislike. It was one of the best holidays we've had.

breakfast was so bad we didn’t go for the second days stay. was mayhem, far too many people with poor quality of food and not enough of it. bathroom poorly cleaned. rubbish coffee in the room.

Lovely rooms and views but definitely not 5 star

Initially given ground floor room for deluxe double with sea view. Room was nice but no view unless you stood up as balcony/terrace is lower than road running past it. No privacy as road is also well used path and people looking into room all the time so had to keep net curtains closed. We asked to move and we’re given a second floor room which was amazing. View from balcony over sea and sunsets superb. Large room and comfy bed. Had issue with housekeeping (room not properly cleaned, no coffee left) but this was immediately resolved. Outside areas are lovely. Plenty of sunbeds. The rooftop pool and bar was disappointing but more to do with the people who frequented it than the facilities. The walk from hotel into Lapad is really lovely. Hotels and restaurants along the way for food and drinks.

Breakfast was the biggest let down for this hotel. Poor quality, buffet style breakfast. Most days it was chaotic. Far too busy and staff not able to replenish food quickly enough. Queue for omelette or fried eggs 15-20 minutes! Fresh fruit disappeared as soon as it was put out - usually just watermelon left. Coffee was appallingly bad. Definitely not 5 star breakfast. I’ve seen other reviews commenting on breakfast but it was worse than I expected. Hotel really need to take a look at this. We would normally have a leisurely breakfast (and the views from the terrace are beautiful) but we just ate and left. We ate lunch in the bar twice. Again food disappointing. €15 for a dry cheese ham toasted sandwich and fries. Same for a chicken wrap that was mainly lettuce. The hotel restaurants were never busy at night even though hotel was at capacity. Expensive and not great quality. Be aware of parking if you have a car. There is a garage at approx €10 per night. Also on road parking outside hotel which we managed to use each day. At end of our stay we were asked if we had a car and then told it was €10 per night to park on road!! We refused to pay. There are no signs indicating this. The guy on reception told us we had been ‘lucky’ not to be towed away by Police as there is no parking allowed on road. Yet he had just tried to charge us for it!! Unbelievable. Would have addressed this with manager but had to leave for flight. Disappointing experience with hotel. Facilities are great but food and other issues make it definitely not 5 star.
