It turned out OK but if in the area again would try another option.

Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room needs refreshing … clean, but not attractive. A/C filter was blocked … not recently cleaned. Bathroom sink didn’t drain well.

Cute room. good location. Free parking good. Definitely economical…but you get what you pay for. May not be perfect but

Poor access to electrical outlets…One major outlet inaccessible behind bedpost which could not be moved. Outlet on bedside lamp for charging eg phones not working. No bath mat Bathroom not as clean as could be….hair on the floor. Basin around taps could be cleaner. Breakfast included was a nice surprise but not great. Gravy and solid scones may be local preference? Would have preferred fresh scones. Other store packages muffins not nice…sort of soggy. Good coffee and bread and yoghurt.

We didn’t stay for the breakfast because of the dirty room we had. Our 2 night stay turned into a one night stay.

We were told the room had been renovated the previous year. Nothing was done to the bathroom. There was mold in the shower stall. Our sheets were dirty. Stained sheets were discovered when we went to bed! Disgusting!

Disappointing

Location was great, breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Needs cleaning, painting and repair/updates. The main street (Portage I believe)was under construction, trucks loadly going thru the potholes. Not the property's fault, but annoying.

We stayed only one night. We would like to come back and stay longer.

The rooms were very nice and cute. The beds were very comfortable. Easily accessed and a very nice property. I would come again.

The person behind the desk. She did not greet us at all. She just stared at us, setting behind her computer. We felt very uncomfortable. We had to greet her first. She responded with short. one word answers. Not very friendly and kind of ornery.

Adorable place to stay for a great price

The cabin was adorable. It was just the right size for what we needed. It was comfortable and quiet. It was easy to find. Check in was quick and easy.

Sept 19-22. The location is perfect if you are wanting to see the ships in the lockes. But that's it.

The staff is unresponsive to guest needs. They will service your room if you ask. I asked for fresh towels that I had to walk to get. The towels are terrible. Too thin and small to dry a person. I used 3. The old broken bathroom window was left open which spread dirt over the bathroom. I found out the window stays open so the steam does not set off the smoke detector, which it did any way. This is not a family friendly motel. The table and chairs are garden decorations. The room is too small for a family. The TV only worked with apps. I am having trouble getting back a pair of earrings I forgot. I have talked to the staff 3 times who asure me the manager will contact me. I have not received any calls, nor have I received my earrings. I will never stay nor recommend anyone stay at this motel. Over priced for the dirt and service.

I would use the place again and recommend it.

Great location! Parking is extremely convenient.

Paper cups leaked and there is no ice bucket but they do not want you to use your cooler at the ice machine. The toilet was loose where it mounts to the floor

It was within walking distance to local shops and restaurants and right across the street to the Soo Locks.

Location was great.

No toilet paper or towels in room. Had to go ask for them . No big deal. But the floor was definitely not washed and the bedspreads had stains in witch we took right off the beds.. the board on the bathroom sink fell off on my hubbies foot.and the air conditioner did not work well at all... Don't know if we just got that one bad room or what.. we were hardly ever there so it all worked out ok.. but would never stay in that room again..😐.. also the curtains were not long enough so you could see in the room .. so we stuck pillows in the window..

Was very pleased with our stay and will keep you in mind next year.

I expected a motel room and was so pleased to see little cabins. They were clean and very comfortable. The location was close to everything we wanted to do, so that was great.

Parking is a little tight and could be hard to get in or out if cars are bumper to bumper in front of their cabins.

Cute room, awesome location within walking distance from locks, shops and restaurants.

Bath towels were poor quality. Barking and howling dog in adjacent unit.
