Location and parking. The breakfast was good. The staff were lovely.
Very dated and a bit shabby. No hot water in bathroom sink. Curtains were filthy and one was hanging off the pole. Generally a bit tired and grubby.

location very convenient, loved the history of the place, staff very kind and helpful.
It was quite confusing at first looking for the car park. The person at the desk gave us a map and said we should have had a copy with our booking but we didn't. We did find it once we had the map and it was fine.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel location very close to my place of business, so able to walk. Amazing breakfast selection and the chef met my needs. A car park although it is now open to the public and can be busy.
Everything was good except my room. I walked in to find nets at the window that have not been washed for a long rime. One was actually torn badly. I appreciate the building is listed, therefore, the floor would be uneven. But my rooms floorwas so sloped the mattress on the bed was too. I literally rolled from the one side towards the centre of the room! The carpet was filthy and in need of a deep clean and there was a terrible smell emanating from the bathroom. The TV remote needed new batteries. Sad, because I have stayed here twice before and it was definitely not as bad. The rooms definitely need sorting urgently.
