Authentic Kyoto Living Experience

Authentic Japanese stay, it was amazing to feel like a resident for a little while, living in one of these historic homes

Kyoto in general was tough to get around, and we struggled to find here, and a bit of a walk to a store or restaurant, very peaceful though so not even a detractor

It doesn’t get more authentic in Kyoto than this!

A wonderful experience in Kyoto, staying in a comfortable and cozy authentic house. Everything was well taken care of and the outside bath was beyond imagination.

Remember to mind your head if you’re a bit taller… ;-)

Relaxing oasis in Kyoto

We loved being able to stay in a fixed up unit. Best part was private onsen.

Only things missing were an ice cube tray and a plug in fan for upstairs.

Traditional and professional

Check-in and luggage drop off a short walk from Kyoto station made it easy to arrive in the city early and start exploring. House was clean and well equipped. I was contacted via the booking.com chat messaging by the hotel because I had apparently booked something that wasn't actually available on the hotels internal system. I was swapped from the house I booked to a different one that was available, and everything worked out smoothly so communication was very good. Photos are of one of their other properties called "Rinn Kiyomizu Gojo Machiya - 鈴清水五条町家"

Is a bit weird that I was able to book something that wasn't technically available on their end. Otherwise it was all really good.
