Part we stayed in did not come with breakfast.
We just know that if we ever need to overnight again at Swellendam this will be a destination.

The owner was very friendly and allowed me to check-in early. He also did the laundry for me which was appreciated. The room was spacious and the whole place was well maintained.
There was no A/C and the room was pretty hot and it was not easy to air it out in the evening. There was no table or chair at the front porch at first, then the owner brought some, but then the next day the table disappeared again. Really a small detail, but I found it odd.

The guest house is situated in a beautiful part of town. It overlooks the garden and mountains. Very quiet and private. Friendly owner even offered to assist with our luggage.
The coffee and rusks were divine!
We did not have hot water to shower for the period of our stay (2 days) even though it was brought under the owners attention. We were not sure if the tap water was for human consumption. No indication and notice was received. The ice tray was empty on arrival.
When cleaning the room on first day, the dustbin was not cleaned out and the ice tray was still left empty on the fridge where I left it the previous day.
The owner was very helpful on the day of our departure to try and assist in getting the geyser working.
