The hotel meets with everybody's expectations. The staff are great and the location wonderful. Breakfast is a feast to enjoy everyday.
Restaurants food is fantastic and the staff are truly lovely and helpful. But if you are used to food being prepared and served in a timely manner, then you will be seriously disappointed here. They say preparing good food takes time and we fully accept this, but when it takes two hours to deliver two courses and the explanation is "there are 6 tables tonight" something is wrong. Management appeased us but the service never really went well.

Everything needed was there! The room was well equipped with a large bed, beautiful bathroom, a fridge and a safe! The facilities were also more than what you need! From a gym and spa to the relaxing pool with beautiful view and the excellent breakfast! Our stay was really good and the hotel is well located!
The only minor encounter I had, had to do with the rules of the pool. Outside of the pool it is clearly marked (on the pool rules board) that no drinks or alcohol are permitted inside the pool. During our stay we had a group of guests that generously consumed, and payed for alcohol including champagne bottled. I’m guessing the bills must be high. To my surprise they were inside the pool with bottles and glasses of champagne acting like the pool was theirs and making very loud noise. It made me and my partner, together with other guests very uncomfortable! We do our best to respect all rules, only to see an exception be made. When si asked a staff member of the bar (telling him that the rules said alcohol was prohibited in the pool) he told me that it was perfectly fine… This is something i honestly really don’t appreciate at all under any circumstances. Everyone has paid to be there and should be treated the same way. No one should have the feeling that they’re embarrassed or not included like we and the others were at those moments. Rules are there for everyone and staff members denying them for special groups of people is something that should not happen. I hope this will come to the attention of management, and the staff of the bar!

The hotel is located centrally, just by the marina. It's walking distance to the main train station. The breakfast is decent and the restaurant has a nice view of the Rio Formosa.
Firstly, they will tell you at check-in that you can call downstairs to the reception at any time for help. Unfortunately, 8 out of 10 times, the call will not be picked up. There is *some* room service, by which they mean that sometimes they will agree to bring food down from the restaurant, but for some reason, there is a TEN EURO fee them literally taking the elevator down. The room also doesn't provide a menu, and you'll have to go digging on the internet to find the menu for the restaurant. The food is okay at best, and highly overpriced. The hallways are lit by white fluorescent lights that make it look like a hospital, with a strange smell that is reminiscent of a doctor's latex glove. We will not be returning.
