Set in the midst of beautiful mountain vistas, alongside a scenic river walk, this place is a treasure. We stayed here for one night eight years ago, and I thought then, "I would love to come back for a longer stay." So this year we did. The staff helped us plan each day in view of the current weather forecast, and we had some wonderful excursions in the nearby area. The fall colors were on full display on the surrounding mountainsides, and on the last two days snow dusted the peaks. Our room was clean and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was tasty, and as usual we met some interesting people. I always enjoy staying in these small, family-run inns, and this one was no exception.
The restaurant was closed for two of our five nights, but we adjusted by eating our big meal when we were out sightseeing at noon.
