Location is great. Walkable to town but quiet. Loved the heated towel warmer! Bed was comfortable and room was warm. Plenty of parking is available.
The sink is small with a shelf directly above it. This made it almost impossible to wash your face. The other issue was guests putting paper in to keep front door unlocked. Not much the owners can do about this.

Location was perfect- could walk into the beautiful village of Oban
Not a big fan of self check in- so missed the welcoming service when you are an international visitor to a place that offers so much

The location was great, view of the harbor, off road parking, cleanliness, spacious room, good location-could walk to restaurants, shops, etc. We were lucky to catch a high school pipe band playing in the town centre after dinner.
When this property says "room only" that is exactly what they mean. Everything is "convenient", but mostly for the owners. An envelope on the desk with your room key is what they consider a welcome, there is no lounge or common areas where you could relax and maybe meet fellow travelers. Modern "upgrades" clash with the charm of this beautiful house. Floor to ceiling drapes require acrobatics to close, the central heat is on a timer so there was no heat overnight, a hair dryer was provided but all the outlets were located behind heavy furniture, no breakfast but the room did have a white mini fridge that was placed on a piece of particle board on the floor. We were given a small bottle of milk and juice and 2 containers of instant oatmeal, but no napkins, modern furniture clashed with the period pieces in the room. The price is not justified.
