The room was large and the bed was good
Staff ignored emails trying to set up details for our stay.
Upon arrival we were taken to our room (honeymoon suite), which was out of the way of all the facilities, and felt isolated. I asked for a map/explanation of where everything was on three separate occasions, and was not given a proper response. I was told a map would be brought to us, but it wasn't. It was unacceptable for us to be left to our own devices to figure out how the hotel worked and to find everything.
Lake area was disappointing. We picked the hotel because we wanted one on the lake. But there isn't much of an area to enjoy, especially compared to other hotels nearby. Further, when we went to the area by the lake the hotel was holding a function there with loud music on, which prevented us from enjoying it. Generally the hotel feels more equipped to deal with conferences/events than regular guests.
Food was buffet style for both breakfast and dinner. Quite an odd eclectic mix of things. Quality was just ok (more or less passable, but nothing particularly good or interesting) unfortunately.
Pool pretty dated and not very inviting.
Overall, the listing gives the the impression of a much more premium hotel than it actually is. No way does it have the feel of a 5 star hotel, nor offer the customer service and attention to detail that would entail. For the price we paid we expected a premium hotel- not just an average "run of the mill" type place.
