The location is great, close to the Glacier Lagoon if you plan to visit it. The kitchen is very nice, coffee is provided. The common kitchen is a nice excuse to initiate conversation with other travelers, which is usually fun. The common room is comfy and large. A little hiking trail to local waterfalls is nice.
It's old and squeaks when walking around. Second floor has an unnecessary step in the hallway, which will injure your toes if you're not expecting it and not always looking down. Not the issue of the hotel, but some guests that were staying there at the same time as we were behaved like pigs and left their dirty towels on the floor of the common bathroom like they expected some servants to pick up after them.

Well stocked kitchen, plenty space to sit in the dining area.
Beds were comfy

Staying in a multiple occupancy building always depends on who else is staying there and unfortunately we had a room above the kitchen which was noisy.
Also front was slammed just after 2am and guests were banging bedroom doors from 7am. So we all had a broken night's sleep.

The location for visiting the Ice Lagoon is excellent, the single room I had was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. large shared kitchen, parking right outside
There were signs saying don't leave windows open because of the flies which I understand but room lacked ventilation as a consequence. The main problem for me was that other guests didnt abide by this advice. When I went to the shared bathroom in the morning it was full of small midges which landed on my bare arms and face making shower room unusable, very unpleasant and there were dead flies all along the windowsil. I know the host cant control guest behaviour but the windows of the property need fly screens.

It had a good kitchen and a nice common area to relax in. The beds were comfy. the instructions to find it and checkin were clear.
Sound travels so much; our room was right across from the bathroom and the doors are very loud as they are old. every time someone got up, I could hear them very well and it would wake me up.
The water was so hot that it was unsafe; which emptied the water tank very quickly so when I went to have a shower, the water was cold. between so many travellers washing dishes and using the bathroom, the hot water runs out very quickly.
the kitchen is shared and when we went to make dinner guests were already eating and did not clean up their cooking tools before sitting down to eat. as well, they were using every pot and pan to serve their food out of. this made it so my partner and I could not cook until they were done. it might be good to have more explicit rules regarding sharing a kitchen.
This place was very expensive for what it was.
