The location was good as we were travelling up to Calais from Spain; the hotel was very clean and the food at the Auberge restaurant was good although the atmosphere was stuffy. The staff we met were very friendly..
We booked a superior room and the room we got was standard and very dated with a dark brown bathroom suite and no proper shower. At 190 Euros a night we expected more than this, plus when I questioned the receptionist on this she said a standard room was the same as a superior room! why call them different things if they are the same. Also no alternative was offered even though we would have paid to upgrade. After driving for 5 hours we couldn't be bothered to argue.
