We booked 7 nights here on our way to Boquete. After just afew days we loved it so much we booked an additional four nights. Rooms are clean and air conditioner worked well. Hot showers at night were also a welcome delight. The property itself is nice. Easy access to the beach for long morning walks and then the beautiful sunsets at night. This is an older facility and they are working on it. The adage of you can’t judge a book by its cover is so true. Las Olas Beach Resort is truly a hidden gem. The staff … amazing, hopefully I can remember most as they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Kelvin and Mirna on the front desk. Anthony,Nivea and Bianca in the dining room. And the one name I can’t recall but who really deserves mentioning is the gentleman who works in the pool bar. He actually helped us get English tv channels .. he definitely went the extra mile. If we had time to stay longer we would. We also connected with many other like minded guests. Thank you to all at Las Osos .. memories we will never forget.

Pretty setting for a short getaway
Although the front desk and housekeeping was extremely kind and professional, the restaurant and poolside staff were not. We have gone a couple of times in the past and this time these have noticeably dropped in service. Also, hammocks and lounge chairs have been eliminated and replaced with 6 lounge chairs provided when asked for, if not already taken. That is all for the entire hotel. In room chairs were hard plastic with no cushions. We were told it is due to tropical climate damaging the softer materials. When we had access to the lounge chairs after getting up early, we were comfortable. We felt somewhat guilty as only two other people had use of those.

Window faced the ocean, easy access from the parking lot, comfortable bed, friendly waitstaff, delicious food at restaurant
room was small, key wouldn't open back door for ready beach access, lock box was disabled so no way to keep valuables safe, pool had algal bloom, no one stationed at the bar, very few people apparently staying there--offseason?
