Lovely place to stay. Situated around a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are well looked after. Food is very good. Free parking within the rear of the property and free breakfast.

Nice staff, friendly atmosphere,nice varied breakfast,and food was excellent.
The one thing we could fault was the noise from the road even overnight,so struggled to sleep well,but that isn't a fault of the plough inn, location was perfect just 10 mins from city centre on the bus,but yes,the noise was bit off putting.

The location for visiting York was good.
The noise. The people talking loudly until four in the morning. The busy road traffic at five in the morning. The slammed doors at six in the morning. Thankfully, the pub wasn’t too loud.
