Location and customer services are great.

The location is great to access the subway. Especially kamogaea Riverfront view from the master bedroom is killer.

the front door is glass door makes me feel not comfy.

A stylish haven with every luxury!

This is a stunning house, a stylish modern ryokan style with every amenity. The views of the river are tranquil, the spa-like bath is relaxing, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We were there on a hot day and the AC worked well. We had the preordered traditional Kaiseki style breakfast that was fresh and tasty. The hostess was helpful and friendly. The house was also impeccably clean and beautifully designed. Very pleased we had the chance to stay here!

Great stay, highly recommended.

Great location. Well equipped with necessary appliances. Thoughtfully designed interior blending historical elements with a contemporary aesthetic. Amazing view of the Kamo River with an operable window. Air conditioning in every room.

Lack of wardrobe and luggage spaces.

We loved staying in this beautiful home, and would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Kyoto

The hosts were very hospitable and met us at the property. Location was very central and it was easy to get to both the local metro and the JR lines. Upstairs has a big window with chairs that overlooks the river, which we loved.

The bathtub was nice but somewhat awkward to use. The staircase steps are very shallow and a little tricky to get down, and pretty steep. The key was a little awkward to carry around all day since it was so large.

This place is truly amazing. From location, the view, the interior design and furniture selection. I can feel the care and live in this place.

Very nice place to stay for a young couple. May be a bit less practical for oldies, or more than 2.

The artistic design, and the quality of the decorations of the whole place. The seclude, quiet location, next to Kamohan river, and just a short walk to bustling areas. Good for the price (when we booked).

Me, my wife and an adult son stay for 4 nights, finding the place very good, but could be more practical. The 2nd toilet only approachable from outside, and should be moved inside for more convenience. The stair is steep and narrow, which is difficult to navigate at night when you have to drowsily come down to toilet, which is only available downstairs. The bedroom closet is locked for storage, so there’s no places to hang your clothes upstair. We have to put our clothes on the floor, which defeat the purpose of enjoying the super artistic design of the place. The last issue might only be our bad luck. There was a construction work next to the property when we stayed, starting 8am until late afternoon everyday, which kind of ruin the peacefulness that we expected when we choose the place. Overall. The place could be perfect for a couple, since the external 2nd toilet and the unavailability of 2nd floor closet and toilet is a bother.

Nice location, nearby Gojoo bridge and 鴨川. In the center of city, but don't worry about the noisy problem.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and fabulous interior design! We had a great and relaxing time during our 3-night stay. Will definitely come back and visit again!

For tall people, must pay extra attention on the lower doors and ceilings, or otherwise it is easily to hit/bump the head! Maybe can put some caution signs inside the property. Except that everting is perfect!

Great experience of staying in a machiya residence with a nice view of Kamo River

Convenient location, serene neighborhood, sitting room with great view of Kamo River, stocked with all the necessity, comfortable beds.

The staircase is a bit steep, bathroom is very cold. Would be nice if it has heating too.
