I going to admit I was really worried about staying here but we’ve just come back from 4 nights was very surprised. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - our room though it was dated was very clean, we also had housekeeping come everyday. The pool area was a great size. Plenty of beds, in decent condition. A couple were broken but the majority were good. The pool bar was reasonably priced and the food was good. Good service from staff. Our door locked and the hotel was in ok condition. From what I can tell they are merging two hotels together and are in process of doing the rooms/hotels up.
Down side our air con didn’t work - they did provide us with a fan however it was that hot it didn’t do very much. We struggled to get towels but we did get some. We just had to collect from reception in the evening.
There were a couple of tiles on the balcony that was broken.

The staff are very nice
We had ants in our Kitchen area so we had to change room apart from that we had no other problems. The staff are very friendly. Yes it's normal to see lots of ants and cockroaches around in the Algarve.
