Ideal position to explore the Island, good restaurant menu
Unfortunately we had a bad experience in the restaurant, due to large group ordering many cocktails we waited nearly an hour to get drinks. With only one bar person and no help from within the hotel she was absolutely “ drowned” the group then kept cutting in to drinks queue to order more whilst we kept waiting.Experienced bar staff will have shared the pain!!

Central location , very comfortable and clean
please provide milk in the rooms for tea and coffee , we were given some when asked on the first day but when we ran out the following day the receptionist couldn’t help us as it was just after 9pm

Nice room.
Good selection at breakfast.
Good location for key places on the island.
We were in a room (212) at the back of the building. It meant we were close to three separate ventilators (two seemed to be for the hotel itself, one seemed to supporting the refrigeration for a nearby restaurant). The humming sounds from the ventilators were loud, even with the windows closed. It was noisy enough to be disruptive to sleep.
The WiFi was poor and cut out regularly. In our two weeks in Iceland we could generally use our devices to stream in all hotels, but not this one as the WiFi signal was too weak and unreliable.
Both of the above may have been due to the location of the room, which was slightly annexed from the main corridor of rooms and may have meant we were closer to the noisy ventilators and further removed from the WiFi signal.
The tv did not have much functionality and did not allow for streaming services or screen mirroring from other devices.
The hotel is not easy to identify from the street. There is a sign with the hotel name on the building but it is not visible at street level at many angles. Despite this, the lady on reception was critical when we enquired to confirm we were in the right place.
