This hotel was so good, right near the castle, the staff were lovely and the place was spotless. We had the nicest room with a sea view and the attention to detail so 100%. If I return to Peniscola again I would definitely stay here than anywhere else.

Grear location - Basic Hotel - Good Value

Solid Hotel - Great Location - could do with a refresh - but value wise great. The hotel was tired and needs some TLC in some areas but very happy - cold aircon - good wifi

To be honest, not much did what it said on the tin.

Perfect beach getaway

After 6 weeks travelling Spain this is the best place I have stayed in on my budget. Big room, balcony, plug for vanity, hot shower and z great breakfast. The view is amazing too.

Amazing place in awesome location

Wow this place is excellent. Loved the view and the room. Staff were amazing and so helpful. We were travelling by bicycles and they were very accommodating. Accommodation is in an excellent location and our room was spacious and looked to be recently renovated. We had breakfast there and it was good

Great value for money

Everything. Most of all great value for money. Has everything you need in the room.

Not a sea view. Our fault as when we went back to Booking.com we read deeper. Lesson learned. We down scored only because check-in was painfully slow. The receptionist needs a pair of glasses. She uses a magnifying glass and a keyboard, unfortunately not at the same time! Will stay again and will look forward to complimenting her on her new glasses.....

Loved the hotel and Peniscola.

Location is brilliant. Staff are super helpful and pleasant. Fantastic breakfast. Great place to stay.

No parking. Can be hard to park anywhere near the hotel, although there is public parking not too far away.

A perfect stay for a short visit

Could not believe that this was a 2star stay (should have been a 3star) as the location and the view out over the bay to the castle was incredible, the room was as good as the 4star hotel we had just come from. The breakfast was top quality.

PARKING, you have to rely on finding something on the street, the nearest we could get to the hotel was a pleasant 15 minute walk.

A perfect stay overlooking a beautiful beach…

The hotel was very clean… our room was spotlessly clean. Air conditioning was brilliant as it was very hot and sunny outside. Lots of breakfast to choose from and cooked beautifully. Staff very efficient friendly and kind. Would definitely stay in the hotel again…

I liked everything about this hotel… no complaints at all.

Great location, good value.

Great location, just below the entry to the old town and castle. I liked this hotel - it not a posh 4 star and OK the reception area and dining room are dated but my room was great and the view from the balcony as good as anywhere in Peniscola. Good value for money

Would stay again!

Hotel was exceptionally clean, rooms and linen were all spotless. Location was ideal, being a short walk from the old town and literally across the street from the beach. Definitely worth it to get the sea view rooms. Rooms were well insulated from outside noise. It was no problem bringing our small Pomeranian with us. The man at the front-desk was exceptionally helpful and speaks perfect English. He helped us call a taxi to the hotel and went out of his way to ensure we did not miss our train from Peñiscola-Benicarló. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend Hotel Playa. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Playa.

Great value for money in excellent location!

Location excellent and in general a great value for money property. Better than a lot of 3* hotels!

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable one and the chairs and table are cheap plastic ones, but otherwise everything great!

Rooms were comfortable and clean with good air-conditioning and a handy (and silent) fridge. We had a lovely balcony looking out towards the beach. Friendly staff, and breakfast was great - hot and cold options available

The beach view, location, proximity to restaurants, beach and old town all together, comfortable and clean room.

Presentation of booking.com is bad for the property, need to have better visuals , it's not the reality which is a lot better than presented.

Fantastic, small, sea front hotel.

Sea views, comfortable rooms, convenient location, reasonable price.

I love this Hotel.. Old style but with all the amenities you need. The best budget Hotel in Peniscola and with stunning castle and sea views just across the road from the main beach and next to the town centre. Wonderful, well run family hotel.

Perfect place to stay

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The location is perfect with the beach right outside and views of the castle from the room's balcony. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere but also a few supermarkets close by. The bus stop is very close too which is handy for visiting Vinaros and Benicarlo. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I stayed during covid restrictions at Easter so it was quiet at night but imagine it can get very noisy normally. The restaurant was closed for dinner but I did have breakfast one morning which was nice. The hotel is pet friendly and I saw a few dogs during my stay. The staff were very kind and helpful too. I would stay here again.

Value for money

Only stayed one night as I was seeing a friend. Central location close to beach and old town. The price was right and the room complete with a balcony and a bathroom. Kind staff.
