MAL!

Prague was great despite the hotel!
It was located in the centre of town.
1. A very poor breakfast. Very limited choice. Cheap, low quality, low nutritional food. Poor dining room. The type of breakfast and dining room expected in perhaps East Germany before 1989. 2. Personnel: An arrogant receptionist who had no interest in looking after the needs and questions of the hotel guest. It was very much a take it or leave it attitude. 3. Security: There seemed to be no security regarding room keys. These had to be left at the receptonist every day. When returning there was no safeguard from the receptionist by checking the name of the person asking for the key. This meant that any stranger could walk in and ask for the key.

Poor
The best thing about this hotel was the location, you will be at just few steps from St Nicola's Church, Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock.
We were aware about the stairs to get to the room but we were looking for a vintage hotel with a great location. The room size was good. The room was not smelling good, like humidity smell. The shower is in a part of the bathroom with a glass roof and was extremely cold at arrival time, the AC does not cover the shower side of the bathroom, one side of the tub was broken. Not really happy we went to sleep and ..... The mattresses were like a piece of wood, extremely thin and hard, super uncomfortable and with only one horrible pillow. As soon as we wake up, with back pain because of the bed situation. We pack our stuffs and checked out, we decided to stay there only one night out of the three we reserved. The lady at the front desk at check out time was nice and felt ashamed when told her we were leaving the property just because of the room condition. It's a shame because location wise was extremely convenient, just put some money to remodel the rooms.

The room was okay but the breakfast and the water issue… I just don’t recommend this place.
Location is good, you can visit the downtown on walk, food & beer are close, actually one burger place and a pub you can find in the same building. I like it.
Breakfast was 1* and not the Michelin... I am not a gourmet guy and my mom taught me I should eat what they give me. But these cheapest salamis not even from the fridge, the worst wurst I‘ve ever ate, rolls from yesterday, no cheese, vegetables or sth. The breakfast was quite disappointing… Juice and the coffe was good. Normally I doN't even write bad reviews, because yeah it's okay, next time I'll choose an another hotel. BUT. One evening when we arrived back there was no water in the room (in the whole hotel, the receptionist guy said) so no water at all nowhere because of some water tube issue on the streets. Okay, thing happens, but at the end I needed to pay 100czk for a bottle of water I drank from the minibar…. :D I was complaining a bit and then we agreed with the receptionist that I leave a bad review here. The staff was nice but in general the hotel doesn't care just wanna make money....

Should've Checked The Google Reviews
In a very convenient location to get around. Mini-fridge was useful to store drinks. Can borrow laptop free of charge if you use passport as a deposit. Breakfast was passable. No aircon, but electric fan provided. The fact building is 1400s gives it charm. Clearly advertised that there is no lift, many stairs and no accessibility for people with mobility problems.
The worst thing was the bed, which didn't have sprung or memory foam mattress(es), but two padded roll mats on the solid wooden frame. Equivalent comfort to camping without a mat/airbed (not comfortable at all). It got to the point where we were dreading coming back to the hotel at the end of a full day walking, because we knew we were going back to an uncomfortable, hard bed and a terrible night's sleep. All the photos we viewed prior to booking (on Booking.com app) didn't accurately reflect the room we were given, which was small, rustic and bare-bones. There's a charge for teas, coffees, and the bottles of water in the mini-fridge. I would expect free tea and coffee to come as standard. Welcome book said DVDs available to borrow on request, but there was no DVD player in the TV or room.
