Located in Saint George Island, this charming house for $299 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Baydreamin’ is located on the East side of the island, not far from the center of the island where all of the businesses and restaurants are located. Beautifully furnished for easy living and comfort, the home features two King master suites on the first floor which open onto a lovely open deck overlooking the Apalachicola Bay! The top floor boasts a breathtaking, unobstructed bay view with spacious open living and dining areas, kitchen with bar, half bath and large screened porch perfect for relaxation! The living room also has a queen sofa sleeper. We're only 2 blocks from the beach, just a short 3 minute walk! Three brand new smart tv's with Netflix capability and wi-fi! Baydreamin’ sits on two lots and gives you plenty of privacy. Take your favorite book and grab some time in the hammock or enjoy coffee on the decks and watch the bald eagles, egrets and cranes play in the back yard. It's a perfect place to practice yoga or just escape from the hustle and bustle. There is even an observation deck on the rooftop for star gazing or watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home on the bay with my sister and my nieces/nephews. This was our first time on SGI and it didn’t disappoint. Communication with the host and checking-in was a breeze. When we first arrived, the first thing we noticed was the beautiful bay, how lovely the home was decorated and all the amenities we didn’t realize was included (thanks, Jennifer!).
The sunsets from the crows nest and the deck was something truly out of a magazine. And the beds were super comfortable! The kitchen was well-stocked with all the tools to make a meal, enjoy a cup of coffee, or pour a glass of wine.
It’s true what they say about the island, there’s no bad spots, but this home was located within a mile or so to the square and only a short walk or drive to the beach. Dog-walking was one of my favorite rituals this week!
Finally, we had the opportunity to meet the host and her family as they were down for the holiday. It’s nice knowing we were renting from such nice, hospitable people. We cannot wait to go back to SGI and we will be staying here or another one of Jennifer’s properties next time!

Nice location with a good view of the marsh from top deck and decent furnishings. The house was rather dirty, fridge leaks, and the water stands in the carports because of poor grading. The carpet on stairs from entrance to second floor is badly soiled and smells. Rest of the hard woods on second and third floor are fine. VRBO sent us the wrong door code, and the owner took a day to respond to our requests for alternate instructions. We had to shimmy through a second floor window left open to get in the day of arrival. House needs work, and VRBO and owner need to get their act together.

We had a wonderful stay on St George Island!
This vacation property is in a perfect location for a short walk to the beach and beautiful views of the bay. The back of the property is adjacent to preserved land and was great for watching the bald eagles, great blue herons and song birds. The screened in porch is tree top level. The house had everything we needed from a well appointed kitchen to yoga mats and beach chairs. The beds were very comfortable and provided a much needed rest from real life. Beautifully decorated and “beachy”, It is a well used unit and showed some age and use. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to the possibility of another visit.

Quiet area away from the main hub but close enough to enjoy all the amenities. Clean and very accommodating owners, responded quickly to any questions. The place is beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay on this double lot—on the screened in porch you felt like you were up in the trees overlooking the bay. It seemed quieter than other houses that are closer together. We enjoyed cooking fresh seafood in the kitchen! We brought a few kitchen essentials expecting a typical rental kitchen, but it was very well stocked. The location was great—just a very short walk to the beach. Our only wish was for an outdoor shower (don’t worry, there was a hose to rinse off your feet)!

This was a perfect spot to get away and relax. The house was exactly as described, with no surprises. Easy access to the beach and to town. St George Island is our new favorite spot.

Now.....we all know the carpet on the steps need replaced as it holds in an odor when coming in the house, not to mention stains. The wood laminate has been cleaned with a cleaner that has left a build up and were very dirty. We wore shoes in the house as the floors had a sticky feel and my granddaughters feet were black from them (except bedrooms- I mopped them 3 times)
Living space on top floor was uncomfortable as the furniture was broke & dirty (I covered with sheets) During our 3 week stay we had a few cold & rainy days so they was no lounging on that furniture (thank goodness for a great bed) We just wanted to come back to the house and feel at home.
The mold in the area heading up to the roof needs addressed. There should not be mold in any home. (The view from the roof was amazing)
This house needs some TLC....paint, strip the build up on the floors, something different on the stairs, new living room furniture and an updated dryer.
When asked if we would rent this home again, we said no. We were very disappointed that the pictures online are not what it truly is. This house has potential, it just needs the owner to actually do something about it.

This a beautiful place in a great location. The online photos accurately match the property, and were the reason we picked this rental. It looked perfect for us. But what the photos don't show are some sloppy cleaning and maintenance issues. We arrived in the darkness and had to feel our way around to get inside because there is no outside lighting. The housekeeping is fine for just a quick cleanup of the bathrooms and kitchen. However, the place needs much more attention. The windows are caked with dirt, the decks need to be hosed down, and the outside furniture all needs to be cleaned. We found a dirty ashtray and half a pack of cigarettes left on the lower deck, along with lots of mold and mildew. As for maintenance, there is a missing smoke detector on the second floor, several burnt-out lights, and many signs of wear and tear. Granted, this is a pet-friendly rental, so some wear is to be expected, but the general maintenance of the place is lacking and reflects poorly on the owners and/or the property managers. Despite all this, we still enjoyed our time here and were happy to explore this beautiful island.

This place was a disaster. I have never seen such disgusting carpet as in this house. Everything she advertised as an amenity was trashed. The outside had junk everywhere including a shed that was literally falling down with all her run down amenities in it. The golf cart was literally rusting apart & in horrible condition. Went so slow. I have been using VRBO for years & right now I don’t think I will use them anymore considering the condition of this property & the total non communication from the owner & how this was allowed to even be advertised or even rented for that matter. All my paperwork had a rental company’s name on it & I find out the day before we get there that he’s not managing it anymore, say what? I had emailed the seller weeks before arrival several times asking questions about the golf cart & who I was to give a deposit to & If could do an early check in. She finally emailed me back a few days prior to my arrival telling me her golf cart had been stolen but there was another one there I could use. Never answered any other questions. The golf cart was so bad my teens were embarrassed to be seen in it. When I arrived for early check in (because no one would get back to me all I had was the owners email & a companies phone number that did not manage it anymore).When I walked into the disaster the carpet smell hit me so hard I couldn’t believe I was going to have to stay in this nasty misrepresented house for a week. Then to find out when I get there it is was misrepresented & I way overpaid. Literally this lady has done 0 maintenance on this house. I ended up calling the company that use to manage it & he cleaned the carpets & made sure the house was clean. You can only do so much to this run down shack. I did not let the condition of the rental spoil my time on this beautiful island we just stayed away as much as we could. So sad that an owner would rent a house in this kind of condition & misrepresent to get top dollar for it. I have never written a bad review for any property I have stayed in from VRBO but this is ridiculous. I don’t even know if the house was even going to be cleaned if I had not called the rental company who knows if it would of even been cleaned.

Peaceful Retreat
Beautiful location and great views from every room - we even had a heron's nest in the "backyard"! Wonderful beachy furnishings and very comfortable beds. We loved being able to bring our 2 dogs and the golf cart was a lot of fun. Only negative was that the pull-out couch didn't pull out. We contacted the property manager to see if they could fix it, but didn't hear back until the day we were leaving. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic week
This was our third time staying at this property. I think it gets better every year. The property is beautiful, the house is clean and welcoming. Everything you need to cook a tasty seafood dinner or close to Restaurants and the golf cart will get you there without having to get in and out if your vehicle. We will be back next year!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Our favorites were the gorgeous view, golf cart, easy access to the beach and convenience to town. The beach was very private. We felt peacefully secluded yet close to everything. The home was very comfortable. A few suggestions: In the main entrance a few wall hooks would be great for dog leashes, jackets, etc. There was also a hole in the wall as you come in which looked to be from some sort of repair? The carpet up the stairs could use a good cleaning. (I am sure keeping the carpet clean as a pet friendly rental is difficult). Once you get upstairs to the living area however the decor is lovely. We really enjoyed the porch and watching all the wildlife. A new fridge would really improve the kitchen. It works fine but appears to be rusting on the outside which makes it look dirty. Other than that we loved everything about Baydreamin and plan to return!
