Brilliant night away

We had a lovely time and would highly recommend it as a place to stay whilst visiting the area.

The location was great, next door to the pub which had live music. Excellent. Tracy the host was lovely and will do anything to make your stay great. The lady who served us breakfast was very nice and cheerful. There is a lovely sitting room downstairs which you can use. Extremely welcoming.

Stay here, its great.

What a great place to stay, the Landlady was so friendly and helpful as were all the locals. The accommodation is part of the pub which was a "proper" pub. Breakfast was very good and the two ladies cooking and serving were also very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night.

Lovely overnight trip and the friendliest of hosts.

Very central location, such friendly staff/owner. First class breakfast, cosy bed. Lovely bar downstairs and fabulous host!

Quite noisy room with traffic, but no problem at all for a night. All else great!

Felt so at home and comfortable and really enjoyed my stay

Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a good nights sleep. The location was very good and the breakfast was also very good. The outstanding feature of this accommodation is the staff. They were all extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel so welcome and so at home. I will definitely be back and look forward to it. We also went to Fiddlers green bar next door and it was also welcoming and a great atmosphere. Will definitely go back there.

Portaferry stay

Another stay there and not disappointed. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Tracey was so helpful in every way and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. We will go back again. Such a nice place.

Generous; from the staff to the facilities to the rooms and the welcome

Such a fab stay here. All of the people working here were so friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated Tracy’s tips on where to eat and drink in Portaferry. The room was gorgeous with a cute wee balcony with a distant sea view. Breakfasts were lovely and served with a lovely welcome. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Super easy to park around the square too.

Amazing Value, Lovely People!

All the staff were lovely and Tracy, our host, was exceptional, including sitting down with us and making a booking at a restaurant for that evening.

Exceptional

Highly recommend - perfect base for exploring the Ards Peninsula. Cosy, welcoming, comfortable beds and immaculately clean. Fabulous breakfast - a delicious ''Ulster Fry" and my vegetarian sister was happy with her veggie version but also offered other options. We completely lucked out both with the weather and because there were two visiting bottlenose dolphins in Portaferry when we visited. On arrival we wandered down to the lough and spotted them and the following morning took the ferry across to Strangford and were entertained by the dolphins on the way back. Great location some lovely walks and views.

Only being there for one night!
