Location, breakfast, comfortable beds
The hotel is very dated
We had 2 tv’s in the room, neither worked.

I stayed here with 2 friends for 2 nights this August. It was a great experience.
Standouts were Angus at the bar, and Marrick. The service and care was really evident. Really really good hospitality that made the stay memorable.
The location is really nice, the breakfast was excellent, the rooms were comfy. Some low headroom, so a few bumps, but apart from that it was a really good stay.

It was right next to the ferry so no rush in the morning from elsewhere on Islay.
Nothing really. I think maybe the hotel was short staffed but that's not a criticism.

The stunning location. Next to ferry terminal so convenient.
This is my fourth visit here over the last 20 years. It is an
Old heritage property - nothing has changed over that time except that unfortunately it has become more run down and more expensive. For example - The small tv didn’t work - we asked for new batteries in the remote, new batteries didnt help and the staff member disappeared saying they would be back but never returned. It is a shame no investment is being made into the property.
