The room was exactly what I wanted, quiet, top floor, with a small balcony and very high ceiling framed in wood. The staff were friendly, attentive to our questions and needs, and they even provided a courtesy car in the morning to the train station. Breakfast was ample and well priced. Even the beer in the fridge had little if any markup. Overall a wonderful stay. Together with the free train pass it is the place to base a visit to the Black Forest.

Only one night but very comforable hotel. Good breakfast and staff exceptionally friendly.
Short walk to main square of the old town.
I was on the street side so a bit of noise outside but it was also a Weinfest weekend.
