Guam Reef Hotel

I've stayed at this place so many times and I keep coming back to it. That says a lot. What I really love about the Guam Reef hotel is it's location.

Access to the beach front is not that easy for those with mobility issues and the pool seems a bit dated but aside from that, the hotel has everything that I need for my usual weekly visit to the island.

The food at breakfast did not have fresh fruits or healthy cereals.

I love how close it was to the beach!! There’s a bidet in the bathroom!

No microwave in the room and no wash towels.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Reef Hotel Guam. The biggest highlights were the friendly, professional, and welcoming staff who provided excellent service throughout my visit. The pool area was enjoyable, and my oceanfront corner room offered beautiful views that made for a relaxing stay.

Unfortunately, the property itself is showing its age and would benefit from significant maintenance and renovation. The front entrance had numerous cigarette butts, creating a poor first impression. The lobby and main hallways were noticeably warm, with air conditioning that didn’t seem sufficient for Guam’s climate. The guest room also needs attention. The wooden entry door was old, with a noticeable gap underneath and visible light around the handle area. Inside, the room had worn wood flooring, an aging bed, dim lighting, a leaking air conditioner, a sliding glass door that was difficult to open, ants near the refrigerator and bathroom, and a bathroom that also felt outdated. Overall, the exceptional staff and beautiful oceanfront location made the stay enjoyable, but the hotel’s aging facilities significantly impacted the overall experience. With comprehensive renovations and improved maintenance, this property has the potential to become an outstanding beachfront destination once again.
