We stayed for 2 nights at Lakewood Residence on arrival in Kandy. Our first room was a basement room - smelt rather musty, but was comfortable. We were moved for our second night (without request) to a lovely room on the floor above. We enjoyed our stay both nights, and location is great. Breakfast was the best we ate in Sri Lanka - lots of options and everyone loved it. Staff were lovely- helpful and always available. Kids loved the pool. A very good experience overall.

The property was very well located near the city centre and the lake. The view from our room was really nice looking out towards the lake.
The receptionist wasn’t very helpful when we asked about booking a taxi for our next destination and overall there was a weird vibe about the place that we can’t put our finger on it.
