The hotel was located within the city walls, with places of interest, shops and restaurants, no more than a 10 minute walk away, the hotel had its own private underground garage for parking, access was through the easier of the local narrow cobbled streets.
The restaurant lacked atmosphere, the quality of the food was poor, consisting of pre heated scrambled eggs, mushrooms, bacon and tomatoes, with a selection of pastries and cereals, after the first few days we started to eat out at one of the local restaurants, next time I book a hotel it will be without breakfast, although when booking this one the deal was with breakfast and I cannot remember being able to opt out.
We didn't try the evening meals as there were plenty of nice restaurants nearby to try.

The location was perfect for the town and the nearby yummy cake shop! The underground car park was good.
The hotel was very modern but so plain and lacked any warmth and style. Paying a deposit for a pool towel - never done this before. Ive never stayed anywhere with so many miserable and unhappy looking staff. Perhaps morale is low! Everything was efficient but all seemed functional to me.
