Stay here you won't regret it!

Everything at Hotel East exceeded expectations! The staff was phenomenal, breakfast was delicious, the best service and stay at a hotel that I've had in awhile! The location was convenient and everything was in pristine condition.

Some of the rooms were smaller than others.

Phenomenal stay, highly recommend to anyone~

I cannot stop raving about this hotel to everyone. My family and I stayed for 20 days and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I will be staying here again when I visit Taiwan in the future. It was convenient for all modes of transportation, centrally located, and it had so much to offer just within a few blocks of where the hotel is situated. Breakfast was PHENOMENAL! I really cannot stop raving about the staff. They are the people who made this hotel 1000% a 5 star hotel in my eyes.

Central hotel past its prime but still very good. Breakfast needs revision.

Large room, very clean. Air con worked well, bed comfortable, large bathroom, well appointed. Coffee machine in room with decent coffee.

No buffet breakfast provided for first 3 days because 'chef' had covid. Replacement was sub standard (although compensated with reduction in price). When buffet breakfast available, it was not up to scratch - boring, flavourless options. The cooked element was very basic - led us to wonder why they could not have managed without their 'chef'. Check-in was painfully slow - to stand at the desk for 45 minutes when there were no other customers after a 12 hour flight was ridiculous.

The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Didn't have to wait for hot water in the restroom.

There's only 1 elevator in the hotel, so around check out hour, you might have to wait around 15-20 minutes.

convenient and clean hotel but room is small.

not only with friendly staff, but the room is clean. The location is good and convenient.

The room is too small for me. And I could hear some voices from upstair and the aisle clearly, can’t sleep well. The smell was mixed with a little humidity and strange smell at the bath room while woke up and walked in to use the restroom in the morning.

It was a comfortable stay however it could be better.

Breakfast is good and quality is acceptable; room is clean. Bathroom is spacious and comfortable with bath tub. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The bed was too low; for people with mobility issue, it was difficult to get up from bed. Should have option to elevate the beds. There is one small room on each floor; it is too small and we need to pay extra to upgrade to a bigger room. The elevator is small and there is only one; very difficult to commute to ground floor during morning breakfast and check out time. There should be body lotion in the room or at least asked if needed during check-in. There is no black tea available in breakfast.

Amazing boutique hotel

Location: Very close to MRT station (5 minute walk) Cleanliness: very clean and they gave us new towels every day. Comfort: Beds are extremely comfortable. We didn’t fall asleep without feeling fully relaxed. Breakfast: delicious buffet and plenty of dishes to choose from. Service: Receptionists are wonderfully professional and accommodating.

Great service and full hotel service.

Full hotel service with breakfast buffet. Lovely decor and great service with daily cleanup and fast service when reported of issue with TV reception. Bathtub with fantastic toiletries. Location is great, near MRT, Chia Te, Rouhe night market.

It is a basement 2 room, required to dismount/climb stairs with luggages. Able to upgrade to above ground rooms with 300 NT more per night but window is only in the washroom, so decided not to. The TV reception was unstable for the last 2 days.

My room was compact with a bathtub and a comfy bed and big TV, just the right size for my need because I only stayed for one night. Not many selection at breakfast, but they were all yummy. The refill was quick and the staff was very efficient! The staff team was very friendly. My room was not very noisy, even it was on the 2nd floor.

The room was a bit old - I understand it is a ten-year-old hotel, but it still surprised me when I found the bathroom door frame rotten... Because the hotel supplied very good bathroom toiletries which smelt good and refreshing. But the room was filled with cheap washroom air freshener throughout the night - I could not stand it since I am quite sensitive to smell. The TV system responded slowly, as I had to wait for around 10 seconds every time I shift to another TV channel.

Good

The location and environment is good as I thought, and there is U bike near by also. Even at basement room, there is a bathtub in side, quite relax.

There is no elevator for basement room, and it's really unfriendly when I carried my luggage down 2 floor of basement room. Btw the internet is pretty poor too.

I love it has bathtub. It’s hard to find a room with bathtub when traveling alone. It’s really awesome that they put bathtub in every rooms.

the best stay I had in a very long time.

the property is pretty good, location is easy to find and secure, concierge was nice and serve with good attitude. the room I booked is small but wonderful for just one person. I had a very good trip, very relaxing.

Exceptional stay!

Great central location. Clean, comfy, very well-decorated large room. The bathroom was better than most 5 star hotels. The toiletries were exceptionally good in quality (except for the horrible toothbrush). The staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room had a full body massage chair. Water was not limited to two half liter bottles. The things in the minifridge were free (two cans of soda). The room also had some free snack and a Nespresso machine.

The toothbrush. I cannot stress it enough. Bring your own. The breakfast is very Taiwanese. They provide enough things but it's not continental. Bread is there but no butter or margarine (only jam). There is juice, coffee, and tea though. Overall, not impressed at all.
