Our room was decent sized and had a cute, teeny terrace with a gorgeous view of the lake. The two twin beds pushed together were actually very comfortable. There was decent sized storage in addition to a place to put our large luggage, a desk to sit at, an extra bed (which we hadn’t requested), and nice sized nightstands with storage and power outlets (but not USB). The bathroom actually had a decent-sized tub with a shower (but see below). Breakfast was included with our room, and the buffet in the main dining room was pretty standard, but appreciated. They actually have a fairly highly regarded restaurant, but see below.
The bathtub has a folding plexiglass partition for showering purposes, but it covered barely half the tub length and wasn’t adequately sealed on its bottom, so every shower, no matter how careful we were, flooded the bathroom. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful for hotel-related stuff, but they were unhelpful when it came to asking anything about dining outside the hotel. The restaurant waiters, where we had dinner on our second night because of inclement weather, were efficient but very glum and looked like they’d rather be anywhere else. The food was very good but dinner for two ended up to be 125 euros with one glass of wine per person.

The view from our room was idyllic; we could see the town and the beautiful island in the lake. The location was easy to find and had dedicated parking. The staff were helpful and pleasant and certainly gifted in many languages. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and especially the delicious coffees and espressos we were served. We also had dinner here one night, and it was one of the best meals of our trip. We particularly loved the old-time feel of the hotel and the classic feel of the lobby and rooms. It was not excessively fancy, but truly a lovely hotel in a beautiful town. Highly recommend.
It would have been nice if it had had an exercise room with a treadmill and an elliptical, but few hotels in Europe do. We like to run for exercise but found many roads dangerous to run on, and also there are so many hills it was hard on our old knees.

The lake views from the hotel balcony are magnificent. The room is pretty big. Convenient location to the lake and center with the restaurants and shops. If you arrive by train you will have to walk to the hotel as there are no taxis available at the train station.
The hotel is a bit dated with average, basic breakfast.
