We had a wonderful stay at Sunflower Boathouse. The hotel is unique, built entirely of wood and designed like wooden ship. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The location is beautiful, with a bar, dining area, and games beneath the rooms. Despite this, it was quiet at night, allowing us to sleep peacefully. Highly recommended!

so much to love. the concept is wonderful, the buildings, waterfront restaurant/bar are really quirky and fun, the rooms were large and well thought out and the price was fair. Lying in the garden with a drink watching the sunset was really special. communication from management was excellent and being met near the pier by a staff member with a trolley to transport our luggage was really apreciated.
unfortunately when reviewers say it is noisy at night and that the sewerage smell is awful, they are 100% spot on. even with earplugs we were kept awake until 4am by the music and partying, but also by the stench. it really was nauseating. i dont know what happened at 4am, a change of tide or wind perhaps, but the smell completely disappeared. whilst the Boathouse can't help what goes on ouside its boundary, the rooms are not at all well sealed which lets the sound and stench in and the aircon out.
i loved the concept but just couldn't recommend staying here as we passed such an awful night.
