Food and staff interactions were very good. The room was adequate a bit sparse considering description. Location good despite immediate isolated spot had easy car access to the general area and amenities.
The shower was less than clean with mold evident at tile joints and around shower base. Internet and phone reception was none existent for whole stay. Told staff a few times the wi fi was rubbish and was met with surprise even though other guests were having same issues. Offers to look into it failed to make a difference.

An excellent stay from start to finish, with exceptional attention to detail and service throughout. The setting is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, making it a lovely place to unwind.
The seven-course Taster Menu was a real highlight. The food was beautifully presented and the wine flight is particularly worth considering alongside it. The team were also exceptionally accommodating around allergies and dietary requirements, which was much appreciated. As you would expect from this style of fine dining, the portions are deliberately refined rather than filling, but certainly not left wanting. That said, we felt the optional cheese course would ideally be included as part of the tasting menu rather than being an additional charge.
Breakfast was another standout. It was refreshingly served from a menu rather than being a buffet, with excellent-quality ingredients. The locally sourced smoked salmon was particularly good, and there was also the option of a full English using local produce.
The combination of excellent food, thoughtful service, attention to dietary requirements and a wonderfully peaceful setting makes this somewhere we would be very happy to return to.
There are only a couple of very minor things that could be improved. The cafetière coffee at breakfast was noticeably weak, and the room remote control was rather sticky, which is never especially pleasant. Overall, though, these are very small points in an otherwise outstanding stay

Very lovely positive staff but rather poor accommodations for the fee charged.
Pokey accommodations, shower didn’t work properly couldn’t alter temperature. Very pokey bathroom. Couldn’t fill the kettle supplied at the tap and which was also faulty . No tissues. Not worthy of the rate charged.
The worst scrambled eggs and smoked salmon ever experienced. Inedible as so rich Yuk Horrid salmon .A Bitter coffee. Low grade orange juice diluted with ice cubes
