This package is best for those who want to decorate, cook a lot, are traveling as a group and would rather split the extra fee than worry about anything in the morning. HOUSE RULES: Unregistered guests are not allowed on the property. The presence of more than 22 guests is unlawful. A guest is anyone at the property, staying the night, or just visiting. Minors need to have a responsible adult present. We will need to check in your entire group together and copy your IDs or you can forward IDs in advance through the Vrbo messaging system. There is a counter installed. I utilize a private security firm. If the counter shows more than the registered number of people or if I get a noise complaint from neighbors, security will be immediately dispatched. A $200 dispatch fee will be charged from your security deposit. Should they be unsuccessful in removing you from the premises, they will involve the police. This is not a place for a local house party. SECURITY FEE: Our preference is to have everyone's IDs on file, just like any hotel would. You can forward them through the messaging system prior to arrival. We understand that some guests have concerns with how the information is stored. We now offer an option of paying a $20 per person non refundable security fee instead. This fee will apply to any adult visiting the property, even if they are not staying overnight. If you choose this option, you will need to request an invoice from us and the main guest will also need to send us a picture or hand us a sheet with name, contact information and signature to comply with a city of Chicago requirement and pay the security fee. All other house rules will continue to apply. ABOUT THE AREA: The house is in east Old Town- best neighborhood in Chicago for both families or if you are looking to have fun. While the street itself is very quiet, tree lined and barely has cars passing by, as soon as you turn the corner, you are in the center of everything! Lincoln Park with the zoo, farm, pond, open spaces and farmers market is a 7-10 min. walk. North avenue beach is the same distance. It is perfect for walks, picnics, boat rides or good old fun in the sand. The beaches are free to the public and have breathtaking city views. Grocery shopping is made easy, seeing as Dom Market and Jewel are located right in the neighborhood. Nearby coffee shops include a 24 hour Starbucks and La Fournette. There are 103 restaurants within a 15 minute walk including some of Chicago's top restaurants including Kamehachi, Topo Gigio, Happy Camper, The Fireplace Inn, and Woodies Flat. Bars and lounges are abundant on Wells and are all 1-2 minute walk. Shopping in Old Town is a unique experience; the majority of shops in this neighborhood are boutiques rather than well-known chain stores. Therefore, each and every store is cozy, intimate and filled with one-of-a-kind goods. The Lincoln Park Zoo is a world of wildlife in the shadow of skyscrapers. Located within a verdant park just minutes north of Chicago, the zoo has been a natural, free oasis for generations of animal lovers, who visit the zoo to hear a lion’s roar echo off nearby apartment buildings, see gorillas climb trees as the Willis Tower looms in the distance, or forget where they are as they immerse themselves in tropical rainforests, dry-thorn forests or spacious savannas. We invite you to visit the wildest spot in Chicago, where each year millions of guests marvel at wild wonders as they play and learn. Free and open every day of the year, Lincoln Park Zoo has something for everyone. Meet animals from around the world, relax among Chicago’s most-visited gardens and join us for exciting daily programs and events. The Steppenwolf Theater, located just a few blocks away from the property, operates as a not-for-profit organization relying on community support to produce, presents up to 16 plays and nearly 700 performances, readings and other events every year on three stages. The theater’s artistic and educational programs draw a multi-generational audience of nearly 200,000 from the greater metropolitan Chicago area, while their impact reaches well beyond this region with productions that tour nationally and internationally. The Second City is another nearby theater that specializes in sketch comedy and improv, and has been delighting audiences for over 50 years. They have had many famous comedians perform at the theater over the years. They have comedy shows seven nights a week on 4 stages; the shows consist of short scenes, songs, and improvised comedy sketches. Cocktails and food are available throughout the show. Get ready to laugh! Oak street and beginning of Michigan avenue is about 15-20 minute walk. GETTING AROUND: The house is a six minute walk from the Brown Line and the Purple Line at the Sedgwick stop and an eight minute walk from Red line at Clark. It takes be about 15 min to walk to Michigan Ave and Wells street bars are a minute away. Buses and cabs are also easily accessible. It is about a 3 minute drive to get onto Lake Shore drive at LaSalle and about 8 minutes to Kennedy expressway at North Avenue

We had a great time celebrating in Chicago. Our family of 17 was able to enjoy all parts of the city. This property worked out well for everyone. Owner was very helpful. Nice area and very walkable.

Everything was extremely easy. Owner gave very thorough instructions and had an abundance of everything, from dishware to blankets. Very good communication throughout. Highly recommend.

Came for a wedding with a large group of 16 adults around the age of 30. We all fit comfortably at the house with plenty of space in the shared areas like kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The rooms, beds, and futons are exactly as listed and was able to accommodate all of us.
The location is 10/10!!! Walkable to many coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Very cute neighborhood

I went with a group of friends to Chicago and this was a wonderful stay! The location was perfect and very walkable to local bars and restaurants. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and be comfortable. The host was very responsive from the moment I booked and even after I left.

This property was perfect for a large group (we had 20). It's in a great location. We could easily walk to many bars/restaurants. Inna was great and easy to communicate with. No complaints. Everyone in the group was very pleased with the property.

and stay in what looks like a crack house from the outside, this property is for you. The prettied up photos do not accurately convey the shoddy experience you are about to have at this property. When you roll up with your guests, you will first be greeted by severely peeling paint all over the front of the house and the stairs, showing the avoidance of basic maintenance that the owners put in.
The issues don't stop there. As others have mentioned, the AC noise precludes having a conversation in the main living area. How about changing some filters, host? The curtain rods are loose and ready to fall down and smash someone's head. The hot water is good for 10-15 min before turning ice cold...how does that work for "sleeps up to 16"? There are side panels held up with scotch tape (VRBO has no way to attach photos of all the above, but trust me I have them). Finally, the garage door was incredibly unreliable and janky, giving up the ghost when I tried to press the button to close it. Instead of apologizing for the obviously weather corroded, beyond service life doors (I have the photos to prove), she tried to say it was "user error" because I pressed the button to close the garage door and it fell apart. Wow, the gall.
Alas...it gets worse. The L literally shakes the lower rooms, the light of train shooting thru the master bedroom's cheap transparent curtains and the sound torturing all of your guests awake every 5-10 min. You were warned.

Great neighborhood. Spacious property. Great communication with property manager.

I was on a youth trip with teens from my church, learning and doing service projects around Chicago. This was a perfect home base for us to come back to and hang out. Space was comfortable for youth and adult chaperones. Easy to access from the L or to drive - having a garage was a huge plus! (though it was a tight fit for a mini van + a small SUV - but I suppose that can only be expected from a place in the city like this)

The house accommodated about 15 adults comfortably (sharing beds) and the location was excellent for exploring Chicago. Communication with the host was quick and informative. Thank you!

Our stay was great. The house was exactly as pictured. We had 13 people stay comfortably. And the neighborhood was a great area with plenty to walk to.

Our group of 7 friends had a great time in Chicago. Very close to plenty of restaurants in old towne, and a short drive/ride away from everything else in Chicago.

We had a wonderful Stay . really enjoyed the courtyard an everything was spotless . Inna was a great host. The only issue the lower level you cannot access the upper floors without going outside. It was difficult for elderly to navigate the steps .

We had a very positive stay at this property in Old Town Chicago.

We had a great stay! We had 18 in our group and slept comfortably sharing beds and using a couple of the provided floor mattresses. Inna was a great host and responded quickly! It is an older home as described with some old home quirks. We loved the location!

Had a bachelor party with 17 adults. Location was perfect for bars and restaurants. The property was also very nice and accommodating for what we needed. 5 out of 5, would and will come back again!

Great location, within walking distance to lots of restaurants and not far from tourist attractions. The host was great, communicative and timely with responses and information. The house is a little older than anticipated but clean and comfortable. In retrospect, given the location, available parking, and the amount of people the house sleeps, the price point is amazing. Not to mention pet friendly. This is a great value for group stays!!

Stayed at the place with all of the wedding party the night before the morning wedding for ease. Check-in was very easy and the host was very prompt with messages and replies. It was a lovely place in a nice neighborhood.

A wonderful way to cozy up in the Chicago Winter. Close to everything and imagine it would be great in the summer when you could enjoy the summer porch!

The location was awesome - walkable to a lot of bars and restaurants and we felt safe the whole time. The host was very helpful and responsive. The only downsides are the lighting in the rooms wasn’t very bright and you can hear the train pretty well in the back master bedroom. Earplugs did help with that! Overall this house was perfect for our group of girls.

Great location. Clean and well equipped. House has some wear on it, but overall was a good rental for our family reunion. Everything was as stated by host.

I took a group of High School students here. There were 14 of us in all. Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Everything is as described. Great neighborhood.

We were very excited to go to our place since it is a reunion. It was a huge place, very clean. Accomodating for all of us. But then suddenly, we have to send all our ID's, I sent the first ones then the owner called me and told me that she's coming to get our ID's told her we went outside and we can just send it to her. She still came over to the house and take a picture of each our ID. Then she said someone will be coming over if not and left. All of us were shocked. I have to admit, when she's calling me we were outside and roaming around in Chicago. Hope next time this will not happen.
It's a nice place although the policy is a lil bit too much.

She was very communicative and met us at the property to ensure we had Eve try thing that we needed. She was very responsive and helpful during the whole stay!

Our family of eleven, age 3-73, had a wonderful stay. We walked to restaurants, the beach, and the zoo. We had family breakfasts together, easily finding everything we needed in the kitchen. We had plenty of room to spread out, some staying up late, some waking early without bothering each other. The house is noisy though. The train starts running at 5AM right outside the master bedroom, and the AC ventilation fan was very obtrusive. It turned five stars to four.

The neighborhood was nice. Places to walk to and find Food and Drink. Second City Comedy is a short walk away. The people in my group were work associates so some aren' t comfortable "sharing" a room. Even though there are lots of beds some are doubled up in rooms. For our group of 7 people it was perfect. The amenities were fine and we enjoyed our stay. Would consider it again.

Our stay in Old Town was fantastic. The house, although an older home, is clean and nice. The small outdoor space in the back was perfect. Our teenagers loved the downstairs space for themselves and our younger kids stayed in the main house with my husband and me. The neighborhood is very much full of young people and dogs which we loved. As a big family, we did feel a little out of place, but it wouldn’t deter me from renting the place again. It was a short trip to all the fun places to see in Chicago. Loved the stay!!

We wanted to spend the week in the city and this property allowed us to be close to everything. Perfect price for the location and for a family of 19!

All worked out great and everyone had fun and felt like they were at home! Thank you for the hospitality.

The home was ideal for our Fourth of July weekend gathering. It had more beds, blankets and towels than we could ever have needed, and Inna was always quick to respond if there were any other unmet needs. Just a short walk away to all the restaurants and bars in Old Town, this house was perfect for our group!

Great location
The communication with the owner/property manager was excellent, and the check-in process was easy. There is no need to rent a car if you stay in this location. You can take the CTA all the way from the airport on the Blue Line, then switch to the Brown and exit at Sedgwick. Then, it is just a two to three-block walk to the house. We also found a shortcut to get to the Brown Line. If you leave through the garage, go north up the service road, cut under the tracks, and up N. Orleans St., you can hit the CTA station about 5 minutes from the house. The city is entirely accessible from this property using CTA and if you are there for a week, buy the 7-day pass.
We were really impressed with the house for our family of eleven. The complaints of the CTA(the L) in the back of the house are unfounded. The sound of the train is a distance rumble that won’t bother you in the least. However, what was abnormally loud was the air conditioning on the main floor of the house. The house has a beautiful open concept design, perfect for large families like ours. It would generally allow us to socialize and catch up with one another. Regrettably, though, it was so loud that to have any conversation across the room was impossible. This was the only major downside of the property.

The house was easy to enter and use. We liked the separate entrances as it made it easy to keep the two parts of our group separate while hanging out. The main floor had plenty of space for all of us to hang out when we wanted to be together. Each of us could break off into a separate area if we wanted to be alone. The back patio and backyard area were perfect to just sit and enjoy a drink and the weather.

Our famliy of four stayed at this property for spring break. We have always lived in the suburbs so this was a fantastic experience of townhouse urban living. It is walking distance to so many great restaurants and short driving/LYFT/UBER distance to everything that makes Chicago great. It is so spacious--we holed up for an entire day because it was raining/snowing--and everyone felt relaxed, comfortable and cozy.
