Very helpful, friendly staff - always on hand to assist. Hotel was a good location for the area of Kyoto we stayed in (once we'd found it). Subway was a 5-10 min walk; Gion old town about 20 mins. Good breakfast options. Kyoto station only two stops on subway.
Room was a bit small, but typical for Japan. Might be helpful to provide improved directions to hotel from subway.

The staff were excellent, friendly, and polite. They explained everything clearly and made the check-in process easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was great.

Good location for visiting Kyoto, metro and bus stop 10 minutes away. Since the twin room was a bit larger, we managed to fit 4 suitcases
The breakfast is repetitive, with little variety.

In my check in I asked for a glass of water because I had just come in from the heat outside and was feeling unwell. Both receptionists told me that I had to buy a bottle of water. There was no drinking water available, and they didn’t make any effort to help or even get me some water. I found their attitude very disappointing, especially given that I was feeling unwell at the time.
Breakfast ! they give you 3 option on their menu. I don't understand why eggs is not available and bacon is included? Eggs is expensive in Japan ? is just Horrendous that you need to choose for something that you don't want to eat! plus, some people were vegetarian , another people cant eat eggs , feel sorry for the ladies in the breakfast room had to deal with it .So complicated !
This is not a 4 star hotel !
