Hotel El Pinar

The location The level of cleanliness everywhere was superb, never seen such shiny floors ! The pool was nice but it could have done with a little background music, my husband said it was like being in a library !

Not enough room in the wardrobe to hang dresses, the safe took up room under the hanging rail . The waiting staff seemed to lack any management & it was disappointing to see outside seating areas cordoned off , for reasons that weren’t apparent .

Breakfast was ok. The selection of fruits was good. The hot food was acceptible..Lack of tomatoes

Had the weather been bad, the breakfast room seemed cramped. Windows could do with cleaning. There was a wonderful view but couldnt open windows

Location, cleanliness, free beach towels which you could swap every (few) days, breakfast was decent

Beds were a bit hard

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, surrounded by pine forest and the sea, which is definitely one of its strongest points. The breakfast was also good.

Unfortunately, several details fell short of what I would expect from a hotel at this price level. Our room had no terrace, which was particularly inconvenient after spending time at the beach, as there was nowhere outside the room to leave sandy beach items. The shower pressure was weak, despite being on the third floor, and the toilet cistern was continuously leaking. There was also an unfortunate issue with housekeeping: two of my T-shirts were mistakenly taken from the room by the cleaning staff. I was informed that they had been found, but I had to wait four days before I could collect them from reception. The staff were polite and professional, but the overall level of hospitality did not match the hotel's pricing. At no point during our stay were we asked whether everything was okay — not even at check-out. Both at reception and at the bar, the service felt somewhat distant and lacked the warmth and genuine hospitality I would expect from a hotel in this category. Overall, the hotel has an outstanding location and some good qualities, but the attention to detail and level of guest care need improvement. Most importantly, we never got the feeling that the hotel genuinely cared about whether we would choose to return.
