The Blue Bell inn is a good base for visiting coastal locations, such as Holy Island, Banburgh and Berwick but it's quite isolated away from any shops etc. It has a lovely cosy bar area and they provide excellent evening meals which is just what we needed after a day exploring. A lovely cooked breakfast started the day off nicely. The service was really good and nothing was too much. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely location. Superb staff and clean bedroom and bathroom. Superb food and best scrambled egg at breakfast. What's not to like.

We booked a room with a double bed and a single bed (Room 5).
The beds were comfortable.
The shower was great.
The hotel/restaurant staff were friendly.
Plenty of free parking
There was no space to hang our bags/clothes (we travelled by motorbikes).
Rooms smelled a little from bad air circulation, but not too bad.
We booked a table to eat dinner from 6:30PM We arrived 10-15 earlier than our booking. Food took more than one hour to arrive, so be ready to wait.
We had 2 homemade cheese burgers. It had no cheese, the patty was small and weird shape (like a flattened meatball), it was also not seasoned at all.
Chaotic staff during busy hours.
