West St main house and accessed through a side garden gate and path. The cottage is ideally situated in the heart of historic Southport - a short walking distance to all of the quaint antique stores, chic boutiques, and laid-back riverfront seafood restaurants and bars. The Oak Island Beaches are 10 minutes away. Bald Head Island and the beaches of Pleasure Island: Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Fort Fisher are just a 20 minute ferry ride from Southport. The ferry is 6 minutes from the cottage.

Birdsong cottage is a wonderful place to stay! Perfect for just 2 people. The walk back to the cottage on the brink walkway is lovey. We so enjoyed sitting out on the front patio and watching the birds. We parked our car and was able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Kelly and Robert also had a nice surprise in the refrigerator waiting for us! Thank you both so much for letting us stay with you. We will be back!

This property was ideal for our stay. Location was everything...we never had to drive once during our stay because we could walk to everything we needed or were interested in...craft show, boat show, restaurants, quaint shops, museum, waterfront, pub, etc! The rental is perfectly located in historic Southport. Most of all, at night when we needed to relax and unwind, we were able to enjoy sitting in the beautiful, serene, and private yard to enjoy wine and cheese and the breeze! There is a local venue nearby that had live music nightly, which we listened to from our yard. All music ended before 8:00pm and the whole community quiets down. Just peaceful. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided us with so many local pointers on places to go. The cottage was super comfortable and cozy with all the desired ammenities. We will definitely be returning to this rental!

A beautiful little cottage with all of the necessities. Its nestled back off of the street with its own little garden patio less than a block from Howe St, and very close to all the best restaurants. Only 3 blocks from the waterfront, its a great location for walking and biking. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day.

Cute cottage walking distance to restaurants, shops and waterfront. Very clean and comfortable and the owner is attentive and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again when we come back to visit our friends.

The cottage is lovely and we had everything we needed. The big problem is the long brick walkway leading to the cabin. It is uneven and dangerous day and night. Fortunatly they provided a flashlight.

We had a wonderful stay that was peaceful and quiet. We could walk to all of our favorite shops, restaurants and local bars. We enjoyed some live music at the American Fish Company by a band whose drummer is a family member. The Birdsong Cottage is like stepping into a timeless garden of beauty and tranquility. We will definitely visit again.

Tucked away, clean, & quiet. Easy walking distance to food, shops, waterfront. Easy in and out access and driveway parking. All basic amenities provided (and a welcome basket!) Enjoyed our stay so much I've already booked for a future stay!

Immaculate cottage located in quiet neighborhood was a delight. Comfortable bed, wonderful shower/bathroom, and welcome basket added to our joy. Beautiful park, restaurants, shops located within easy walking distance. Golf-cart tour of Southport was well worth the $12 per person. Would definitely recommend this rental!

This cottage was just right for two people, offered privacy yet was walkable to most things we wanted to see Kelly was gracious met us on arrival and gave guidance on our questions regarding activities Best possible location to walk thru a beautiful historic home neighborhood and restaurants coffee shops etc

This is a great little cottage for two with just the right amount of cozy space, in a superior location. Just feet away from the Main Street and all the shops, restaurants and wine bars and only a couple of blocks from waterfront restaurants, the Marina and historical sites. Check in was easy. We were met at the white gate to the property with our keys and a smile then down a shady brick path to the cottage which had an outdoor seating area, small stoop with an overhang and mature trees and plants all around. Inside was a place to hang coats, a small but serviceable living area with tv, adjacent is the kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. We either ate out or brought food in and used the plates, cups, utensils supplied. The owners had provided a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate to get us started along with a list of recommended eateries. The queen bed was comfy (and yes the sheets are super soft), overhead ceiling fan enjoyable, and the bathroom spacious. We’ve already penciled in the same trip plus an extra day for next year. Cannot recommend Bird Song Cottage enough. Just what we needed. Cheers to the owners for this delightful experience.

The cottage was clean and just the right size for 2 adults. The kitchen was well appointed and supplied with all we needed for meal prep. The bedroom was adorable and the bed very comfortable. The shower was fabulous! And the bathroom spacious. Our hosts surprised us with a lovely bottle of wine and a charcuterie board upon our arrival. 10 out ot 10 ❤ .

This cottage is super cute and convenient walking distance to all the shoppes and restaurants around town. The cottage is in the back of the property and is very quiet. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the cute gift basket was a nice touch. We absolutely LOVED our stay at Bird Song Cottage, and will be returning (hopefully soon!)

All was good for our two night get away. Walkable to everything, private, great communication with hosts and comfortable. We enjoyed the surprise cheese box and wine. Bed very comfy. The only thing that we did suggest to the host, was that more attention to dusting be done. We noticed the ceiling fans, bathroom light fixture and a couple of other things/areas were pretty dusty. Other than that, it was a very relaxing enjoyable stay.
