The windows in the room didn't open so I couldn't get any fresh air in the room, I don't like this as it's makes you feel clostriphobic!!!

Clean and well-maintained room, with a large and comfortable bed.
- Ask for a room on an upper floor! We were on the ground floor, and it often felt as though the guests upstairs were about to come through our ceiling because of how loud the footsteps were. I swear I’m not a “Karen”, but it was beyond acceptable. It’s true that the guests staying above us for the first two nights had children running around the room, and they were extremely inconsiderate, but things didn’t improve on the last night, when the guests had clearly changed. We could hear every single step as if the floor was about to collapse.
- We were given an accessible room: don’t book it, or only do so if you have no other option! We wanted to change rooms because the accessible bathroom was really too bare-bones: a tiny sink, and everything was so basic that it felt more like a PUBLIC RESTROOM than a hotel bathroom. For the price I paid, I would expect a different level of service.
We asked whether it would be possible to move to a standard room. That same evening, we were told there would be no problem; the following morning, we were told they would let us know, only to eventually be told that it wasn’t possible. Again, considering how much it costs (I understand it’s Edinburgh), I would expect more.
