A real gem!

Beautiful decor. Lovely location. Friendly host.

The sign was not visible in the dark so a bit difficult to find the inn in the evening.

Relaxing, quiet and peaceful

Allison took great care of us! She texted or called when we were running late when we were out touring the island to make sure we didn't have any problems. She provided some great suggestions for restaurants and exploring the island. The breakfasts were made to order. The breakfast conversations with other guests was delightful!! The Library Inn was cozy and inviting.

Not being familiar with PEI, I didn't realize the Library Inn in Souris was so far from most of the things we planned to do. This was my fault for not researching more. We were happy with the quieter side of the island and thoroughly enjoyed the drives as we explored.

Amazing stay

Amazing stay, great old house with pleasant host. The full breakfast included in the price was really good in the mornings, nicely located close to the coast.

Need for more amenities regarding trash in common room.

A hidden jewel in the island, a beautiful place to stay. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The house is beautiful and very spacious. Great location to Basin Head beach, and nice view to the harbor. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. You find boutique soap in the bathroom with fresh fragrances.The bedding, immaculate, and beautiful. And for the first time I found someone with the good sense of not making the beds in summer with a comforter that gives you unnecessary heat in the night but leaving it optional at the bottom of the bed if you want to use it. The breakfast is like no other since it is customized to the preferences of the guest. The host is superb. A lovely, attentive, sweet lady pending even the minimum details to make your stay a memorable experience. Is a pleasure to talk to her and hear her advice on literature.One of the best places I have ever stayed. Would give a score of 20 if available.

Enjoyed the stay there very much. Would be happy to stay there again.

The breakfast was the best. It was very quiet. All the other guests were compatible.

The showers was a bit small but useable.

A lovely, seaside inn that feels like a stay at a friend’s home.

Our suite room was AMAZING! We were on a self-supported bicycle tour and to have such a big room with a lovely sitting area was fantastic at the end of our day! Alison was a warm, welcoming, and interesting host. We also really appreciate the secure storage garage for our bikes. And breakfast was TERRIFIC! Good strong press coffee to fuel our bike journey. Love the books all over the inn! A great variety of genres. My husband and I each found an interesting book to peruse while there. The decor of the inn was tasteful and calming; it felt like being in a friend’s seaside home. Sort walk to an in town Thai restaurant for a delicious and affordable dinner was really nice.

Allison was a great host. Very good selection of literature throughout the house. Well appointed. Room was gorgeous. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Amazing location.

Historic home on the outside; updated and comfortable on the inside.

Custom breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and fresh coffee every morning. The room and the bed were comfy. Very friendly and accommodating owner with lots of books of various genres.

It was very hot during the time we were there and could have used some a/c although a large fan was available. A small fridge in the common room available for guests would be a nice touch.

We would definitely recommend this property.

The breakfast was delicious and served to order. Everything from the homemade jams to fresh fruit and full hot breakfast. Allison was such a pleasure to meet and very accommodating. The bed was super comfy.

The wifi could have been stronger.

Perfect

Everything about our stay at The Library Inn was perfect. We arrived from the ferry at 2AM (one hour late), and Allison waited for us until that time to meet us and show us the property. We had a wonderful night, extremely comfortable bed, quiet room and exquisite decoration! Additionally, we had a wonderful breakfast — I’m vegan so it’s rare there are options for me when I travel but I got a wonderful avocado toast. Highly recommend this place. You cannot find better in Souris or PEI. We are definitely excited to come back — and next time, we will make sure to stay for a week and not a night. Best B&B ever!
