Very enjoyable stay. We can’t recommend this property more highly.

Beautifully kept house and lovely room. Excellent breakfasts. Very nice hosts booked eating out on our behalf. Good location for access to Dumfries. Private parking.

Excellent, comfortable and value for money

We loved the property and location. Easy parking and our hosts, Sally & Ian were friendly & welcoming. The property is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious with period features. There was an excellent choice of refreshments in the room. Breakfast is outstanding with fresh fruit and an excellent choice of cooked food . Mr had a full cooked breakfast and for myself the smaller version for smaller appetites. We highly recommended staying here , excellent value for money ( correction a bargain). We will definitely stay here again

Really enjoyed Sally and Ian's hospitality and warm welcome. They were so helpful and easy-going

Breakfast was fabulous with a wide variety of hot dishes to choose from. Location was great as it was very close to the railway station and not far from the town centre.

Great stay with wonderful hosts

Sally and Ian are very warm hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was a feast each morning with lots of choice, even with surprise chocolate croissants. A lovely place to ‘come home to’ after a hard day’s work!

Lovely relaxing stay .

Thoroughly spoiled throughout visit.

Spotlessly clean, lovely room with everything you could possibly need provided. Comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfasts. Wonderful friendly hosts - nothing was too much trouble.

If I ever go back to Dumfries I will definitely stay there

What’s not to like Hosts /Superb Guest house /very lovely and spotlessly clean Location/ central to everything Breakfast/ everything you could want From cereal / fruit / tea.coffee. Fruit juice. I hade the vegetarian cooked breakfast which was absolutely delicious

you couldn’t ask for better hosts and a beautiful comfy room.

The property was spotless, comfortable, had lots of extra little treats and toiletries. Ian and Sally couldn’t make you more welcome they went above and beyond to see to anything that was needed

Peaceful, relaxing short stay, really comfortable

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, I only had mushroom omelette and scrambled eggs on the second morning. Location is well placed for the town centre

A superb guesthouse with terrific facilities

The breakfast was ample; Ian & Susan provided a gluten-free breakfast as requested and it was delicious! The dining facilities were also excellent. The bedroom was clean, nicely furnished with plenty of hot & cold drinks available in the room and available from the dining room. The ensuite bathroom was very nice, perfectly clean upon arrival. Excellent service, delightful hosts and terrific value for money!

There was nothing of note from our two-night stay that could have been improved.

First visit to Burns' country.

Very pleasant room with bathroom and good shower. Good choice at breakfast, with vegan and vegetarian alternatives. Ian and Sally very helpful with advice on where to go and what to eat.

I forgot to collect my ice cream after a long hot day walking in the sun.

Fabulous Guest House - good value for money

Breakfasts were wholesome and plentiful with lots of choice. Sally and Ian went out of their way to be helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They were the ideal hosts. Beds were comfy and our room was spacious with a large shower / bathroom. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

An ideal place to stay in Dumfries

An outstanding B&B : the proprietors are very friendly and accommodating, the room spacious and comfortable, breakfast was excellent ; I highly recommend. It's also very convenient for the train station.

Best option if you want to stay in Dumfries.

I completely recommend this place to everybody coming to Dumfries. The house is in a perfect location to reach the city center in 2 mins walking, the rooms are in amazing condition, the internet is really fast and the hospitality is outstanding. For breakfast, the variety of tasty food to choose from was priceless. Moreover, the hosts even drove us to the train station in Lockerbie (20 mins away) a favor beyond the reach of most. Finally, I have only words of affection and gratitude to them.

Fantastic!

Well worth a visit. Lovely welcome from helpful hosts. Spotlessly clean and all COVID-19 rules followed. Excellent breakfasts. Would definitely recommend staying here. Ideally placed for numerous golf courses and the coast. Lots of options for great meals out.

A great break for father, mother and adult son - thoroughly enjoyable - in a lovely area.

The hostess and host were brilliant - so friendly, flexible and accommodating. The rooms, with ensuite facilities, were spotless, spacious and warm. Tea, coffee, biscuits, etc, provided plus a free toiletries pack. Bottles of mineral were plentifully supplied free of charge - natural or sparkling. The breakfasts were excellent - lovely fresh-fruit platters - as well as a great choice of full cooked breakfast with a veggie option - or cereals/porridge - plus yoghurts, fruit juices, etc., etc. Soya and Almond milk available too. A great location in a quiet town centre street - convenient for shops and numerous local eateries.

It's like a home from home. Ian & Sally are like family. You are made so welcome and they simply can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
