We enjoyed the quiet stay just outside of town, would book again!
Location was near the downtown, early morning food options were varied. Much better options in warmer months! The serene location near the pond and running waterfall was very peaceful, we enjoyed sitting outside near the stream and taking in the nature in the area.
Some of the lights in the space didn't work/were confusing, perhaps clearer labels on the switches would help new guests.

Very poor
Location
The best thing about the Mill is the location and for that reason, I’ll give it the courtesy of 2 stars. This is a vacation rental managed by Vacasa. We recently stayed here for four nights which cost us about $2K. Our experience was less then stellar and after giving Vacasa a few days to rectify it after notifying them our our concerns to no avail, I wanted to forewarn others about our experience. Here’s what went down: 1. Vacasa was supposed to send us the driving directions and entry door code 24 hours before arrival, instead they sent it 24 hours before departure. 2. When we arrived, there was a used wash cloth hanging on the bathroom, the living room rug was covered in dog hair, and the coffee pot upstairs was disgusting. 3. There were dead wasps in the home upon arrival and we killed 3-4 more during our stay. 4. The bathroom sink was clogged and had a slow drain. 5. THE BED!!!! We tent camp, on the good ole ground and that is more comfortable than this bed. It squeaks with the slightest of movements keeping you up all night long. It was so uncomfortable we had to go buy a $150 mattress topper just to get through our stay. If anyone else in the area would have had availability, we would have just checked out. The pull out couch is no better with springs poking through the mattress. We’re not typically ones to complain and if it would have just been items 1-4 we likely wouldn’t have, but to pay $2K to be so incredibly uncomfortable is insane. On top of that, the customer service is horrendous. I have emailed twice and called with no acknowledgment or response to our issues. RUN!!!!!!!!

The pure essence of waking up in a former grain mill.
The sheer genius of the setting and building.
Very little.

The perfect weekend getaway for the weekend and dog friendly!
We loved the location. The sound of the stream outside was lovely. It was very cozy and we will book again! Thank you!
The only thing i could ask for would be an upgrade in the mattress. It really was not very comfortable. Maybe a pillow top would help? Also we had a little trouble finding extra blankets.

great location and comfortable
Dryer ran but didn’t dry even after repeated attempts with different settings Upstairs bedroom gets warm and need to be careful if leaving windows open to allow cool fresh air to compensate. if it rains water will come in.

Everything was good, need some air freshners. Would have loved if the water wheel had been working.

Cute and clean, a bit expensive
The location was great. Peterson Mill is very cute and clean little house. I do think after fees and taxes the price per night (a bit over $500) was very high. The bottom floor bedroom was very comfortable. The pull out couch mattress had holes in it and definitely needs to be replace. It is advertised to have 2 bathrooms but the one is just a toilet in a very small converted closet. A 6ft tall person would barely fit in there. The stairs to the main bedroom floor are very steep and the steps themselves are very shallow (I'm a woman's size 7 and my foot did not fit on the steps). They could pose a risk if not paying attention. All in all we had a great stay but the accommodations did not meet $500/night expectations.
The steps, second toilet and pull out couch mattress.
