About this cottage rental
☀️ 7-night minimum in-season (Sunday - Sunday only May 19- Sept 28, 2024) 🌙 3-night minimum off-season (before May 19 and after Sept 28, 2024) 🛏️ Sheets included 🧹 Host fee is only our cost for housekeeping and licensed hot tub maintenance This clean, bright cottage is perfect for a family or couples vacation. Located on a quiet street only two lots from the sand, Silver Girl has convenient private beach access leading over the dunes to a beautiful expanse of beach (Please feel free to ask questions about our location and beach accessibility.) Silver Girl has plenty of space to gather in the open living room and dining area. The kitchen is well-appointed, and each bedroom has a flat-screen TV with streaming capability. A DVD library, games, and books are there for your enjoyment. Take in the ocean breeze on the wraparound deck and unwind under the stars in the warmth and relaxation of the hot tub. The comfortable hammock invites an afternoon nap. This pretty house is a wonderful place to stay AND play. Silver Girl is close to great surf spots and world-renowned Pamilco Sound kiteboarding destinations (only 0.5 mile from Real Watersports!) The Rodanthe Pier and miles of beautiful coastline await your angling enjoyment. Sunbathing, shell seeking, bird watching, and simply relaxing make for a lovely vacation. A walk/bike path extends the full length of the Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo villages, leading past shops and restaurants from the Salvo Day Use Area to the skateboard park in Rodanthe. 🛏 Sheets are provided. Towels are not provided. We removed bedspreads due to COVID-19 and now store our blankets in the closets. 🏖️Private Beach Access is conveniently located only two lots from Silver Girl. The access leads to a soft sandy path over the dunes. If you have any questions about the accessibility of the beach, don't hesitate to ask. 🔻WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE which can be purchased through VRBO or outside vendors. Hatteras Island is vulnerable to storms and electrical outages. Unfortunately, mandatory evacuations occur.

We were looking for a quiet beach weekend and Silver Girl was a great spot for just that. We cooked at home and found the kitchen had everything we needed.

Definitely the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed and a lot of natural light. The house felt very cozy and welcoming . The owner pays great attention to the property and keeps it cleaned, organized and well stocked. Sandra was very responsive to texts and had a list of things to do and where to eat. Great time!

The property was perfect! It was exceptionally clean and updated. The location is great so close to the beach and beach access. The process was easy and Sandra was a great host! We are looking forward to booking the property again next year.

My family and I had a lovely stay. Great, quiet location minutes away from food/shops in Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo. Quick walk to the beach from the house. House was well-maintained and clean. Host was communicative before our arrival and we had no issues settling in and relaxing. Would absolutely rent this place again.

My wife, 2 y/o son, and I had a wonderful time! The location was perfect - just steps to the beach, and about halfway between the southern and northern OBX villages. The house itself was well-stocked, clean, and had plenty of room. We didn't end up using the hot tub, but it looked very nice and well taken care of.
Some things to note:
- Do NOT forget to bring bug spray! The mosquitoes were vicious. The surrounding area had a lot of standing water (due to a tropical storm that passed through before our stay) which made them really bad.
- Be careful when walking barefoot on the deck (it could use a bit of TLC)
- There is a bit of a sway when others are walking around the house. This might be unsettling for some people (especially in high winds) but didn't really bother us.
Overall we had a great vacation and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

We really enjoyed our stay. Ample room, steps away from the beach, and with a nice jacuzzi for those times when we were just too lazy to walk those few steps. Whenever we had a question, they were answered right away. We loved our stay and look forward to the next trip!

We enjoyed our stay at Silver Girl and would definitely recommend! The beach house was clean and conveniently located to the beach. It was sunny and bright and a perfect little beach cottage for our family of 5!
A few things that make a big difference for our family that we appreciated-
The kitchen was well equipped but we also had room for our groceries. Beds were comfortable and the hot water for showers lasted a long time. Long enough for the 5 of us in our family to all take showers back to back! We appreciated having the hose on the deck for rinsing off after the beach and outdoor shower. I never had to bring sandy kids in the house! The street was quiet and we could see so many stars at night.

Silver Girl is the perfect house in the most ideal location! Sandy is a great host who provided many recommendations to us during our stay. I'll simply say, add those recommendations to your itinerary because they are spot on. This home was perfect for our family and we plan on returning year after year!

Silver Girl was such a nice place to stay, close to the beach, fishing, restaurants, and all that Outer Banks has to offer. The place was very clean, amenities were great and communication was spot on. Thank you, our stay was wonderful!

Loved the house and location at center of OBX - short 30 min drive South to Hatteress and 30 min North to Nags Head. Clean, relaxing, plenty of family space, hot tub was fabulous, and large kitchen fully equipped (except couldn’t find a can opener). Having beach chairs was a plus.
Only downfall we did not realize the dune was soooo steep to get to beach. Very hard to climb back and forth and tote beach gear. Was with my elderly mother, so we ended up driving to Roadanthe pier most days easier beach access.

Our family enjoyed our vacation at Silver Girl! The space was perfect for us. Clean and well stocked. The owner was excellent in communication and was very helpful. We liked looking up at the stars while enjoying the hot tub and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to hear the waves while sitting on the deck! It was such a sort walk to the beach I felt like I had a beach front rental. I appreciated the clean fabric like hypoallergenic mattress and pillow covers. I expected it to be more like a plastic. They were comfortable and hardly even noticed with sheets on for us. Perk for those with kids was the fenced in part under the house that was connected with the deck area. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand while not at the beach and the hammock was great for the parent 👍. Highly recommend! We plan to come back:)

The cottage is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of kitchen dishes, tableware and cooking pans and utensils. Beds are comfortable and covered by hypoallergenic covers. The only concernd we had was for the close proximity of the front door to the stairs leading to the door. That and the lack of grab bars in the shower/tubs would not be suitable for elderly or mobility challenged guests in our opinion. We were not able to give feedback on the hot tub as the weather did not permit it's use. Otherwise we were delighted with the amenities and the hosts' helpful recommendations for local restaurants, etc.

Silver Girl was an outstanding place to stay for our family of four. The proximity to the beach was wonderful. The property was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pans, pots, glassware, etc. The beach chairs and hammock were a nice touch and the hot tub was very relaxing. Sandy’s communication was excellent. We are hoping to come back again! We love Silver Girl!

Wow! The Silver Girl was perfect in every way. Beautifully decorated, well maintained, spotless upon arrival and just a few steps to one of the best beaches in OBX. My family of four found it to be extremely comfortable and plenty of room for relaxing. Wonderful stay!!

Perfect getaway
My husband and I loved this little house. The location is amazing. So close to the beach (closer than some oceanfront homes we’ve rented) and the walk is easy. The house decor is spot-on. The kitchen is outfitted well and the bathrooms were nicely done. The availability of beach chairs and the hot tub were so appreciated. We didn’t love the mattress In the master bedroom. I understand the need to be able to clean easily but the plastic wrapper around the mattress was not comfortable. That said. It’s the perfect place.

Best Beach Week!
Location, Location, Location! Loved the proximity to the ocean and sound. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Super relaxing, the hot tub was amazing! Kitchen was well equiped with nice pots and pans! The layout was great and was an overall great experience. We hope to be back sooner than later.

We had a wonderful time. Well equipped kitchen where we cooked fresh seafood and our dinners every night. Nice grill. Deck area is perfect and safe for tiny child. We set up a little wading pool on the deck and he spent many happy hours splashing. Very pleasant home. Very clean and inviting. Perfect size for Granny, Son, his wife, and grandson. Quiet street. Very close to beach. Easy to get groceries and seafood. Lovely yard. One row from ocean over nice dune path. Comfortable beds. Good baths. Baby stuff in closet of master. Cabinets full of cards and games. Open concept. Comfortable living. We loved this property and will go back. Host is so nice and helpful. Spacious decks. All on one level for old ladies with arthritis like me. Standard staircase going up to main entrance. I am a nurse for 46 years, so appreciate "black out curtains" over windows after years of shift work. If you want a dark room, bring some dark beach towels and clothes pins and you can battle that early morning sunshine. Overall, this property is perfect.

The house is perfect with an open concept in the living room and kitchen, straight out to the deck with the hot tub. It was clean and it was easy to keep clean. Loved it so very much!!!
